Interesting. We are in the business of delivering power to consumers BUT we only want to deliver so much at a reasonable rate SO if you use what most families would use we will apply a surcharge! More abuse of power (double meaning there)...and you can bet the city power (hee hee hee) structure will do nothing about it - oh they will make their statements to the press but behind closed doors they will be seeing how they can apply the same illogic to other services. They are all whores/panderers BUT it is the stupid people of the city - those who don't bother to register, and those who don't bother to vote and ESPECIALLY THOSE IDIOTS that keep re-electing the same bunch - so enjoy LA you deserve it!

They said the same thing a few years ago. And we happilly complied.
THEN THEY RAISED OUR RATES SAYING, WE SAVED TOO MUCH WATER AND ELECTRICITY.
This time someone ask these people how much are we suppose to ACTUALLYcut back.
If you ask me we are going to be SCREWED either way.

The DWP will charge more and you will use less. It's doubling the rate using smoke and mirrors.

I put in energy saving devices and highly limited watering before the drought was proclaimed only to see my bill rise due to fees being tacked on by LADWP! With more kids, I use less energy than several years ago.

My bill for actually energy and water use is less than the fees and surcharges on it.

This is the first step in increasing rates. If you do not conserve their panned amount they raise your rates. If you conserve more than they want then they claim a need for more ncome and raise your rates. Either way you lose.

The people that run the DWP are some serious idiots. I mean the rates are already high enough, and now, cut back...they do not look at things such as yard size and house size. Forget them. I do limit watering, but they can forget we following every lilly white thing they say
