You really have NO Idea what your talking about do you?? I laugh when people like you say we have no fall and no spring. What are temps suppose to be like in Fall and spring. 50`s 60`s? Yup thats what we get from Late april through Mid June. Thats also what we get from Late Sept through Early Dec. We have summer weather which includes 80`s and some 90`s from July thru Sept or so. Our winter is also 3 months long, normally but Only Mid jan through Mid feb (1 month) is really cold. Thats awesome weather!!! Besides most Chicagoans spend those 11 months outdoors and heck you may as well make it 12.

PS- We work because when your an adult thats what your suppose to do right? You know pay your expenses, Raise your kids etc etc

A cool summer suits me just fine. My workplace isn't air-conditioned, and there have been times when the heat and humidity have made me feel sick. I'm convinced that cooler, like we've been having, is healthier anyway.

It's soemwaht dumb to comment on the weather, but we've had a truly abnormal summer.

We had that one week of temps barely hitting the 90's. Although that's fine for many who complain, it's still abnormal for Chicago at this time of year (we froze our butt off at Montrose harbor July 3rd, everyone was wearing jackets and it looked like a group of Eskimos picknicking).

Our average temps are still at Springtime levels, our rainfall average is way above normal. Although that may be great for the farmers, today's advancing threat of hail may not be so great.

And to whomever said Chicago has awesome thunderstorms: they're more burden than blessing.
Global warming most lileky factors as to why every time we get a thunderstorm, it's incredibly severe and prompts weather warnings. Our Deep Tunnel system dosen't seem to deal well with these heavy storms as it was thought to do so. The Des Plaines river topples over its banks, Albany Park goes under water, and Hubbard's Cave floods, with every storm we've had in the past few years.

It used to be we'd get only a handful of powerful storms every season in the past. Now its several times per month.

I like this weather - no air conditioning needed means more money for me and less for ComEd.

But it is true, Genius. Global warming is the climate, not the weather.
