Hurricane Ida takes aim at Gulf Coast

wasnt it the global warming people who told us we'd be having alot of hurricanes this season?.. scaring people out of fla?.... all them gorites just scaring 'gulfers'.....the left, wrong again

This country is in much better hands now that Barack Obama is President of the United States; there won’t be ineptitude and callousness in a response to a natural disaster the way George Bush handled the Katrina aftermath. We voted in real leadership last November… Thank God.

How about the ice storm 2009 response!? As I remember...the response was NOT impressive...Thousands of people in states such as Kentucky were freezing for WEEKS!!

A hurricane this late in the year does reflect unusually warm watersand, yes, it just 'scared' 91 in el Salvador.

Just when we thought it was going to be a charmed year with no hurricanes hitting Florida or any other state for that matter. Here's hoping it loses strength before making landfall.

I hope the dam doesn't break. Lord knows the inept, inexperienced, unprepared, Muslim President won't know what to do. He'll probably pass out rain caps, and cigarettes. Don't forget the cigarettes.

The only thing I have seen from Obama is a lots of jokes nothing you can take serious. Glad I known a little about hurricanes and tropical storms. There is nothing to worry about this storm in Florida.

The media is making a big deal of the only hurricane this year ... and it is predicted to hit land as a tropical storm. Doesn't look like it will do a lot of damage ... It depends on how quickly it moves through so it doesn't cause flooding.

Conditions aren't ripe for a storm. It will fizzle out and be a rainmaker, mostly.
