There's no place 16-year-old Kelsey Juliana feels more at home than walking and breathing in the fresh air of Oregon's outdoors.

Judged: 2 2 2 Good thing that Reagan and the Bushes packed the US Supreme Court with conservative allies of the oil industry. |

Judged: 2 2 1 The present U.S. firestorms & droughts have spared Oregon & Washington, altho some fires, even with our summer dampness & coolness, have started. But in years past, TV media have often come to the Pacific Northwest to film horrendous firestorms, swirling up vast ridges filled with trees caught in monster flame fronts with temperatures exceeding 2000 degF. Given the right 5 or 6 month period of extra drought & higher heat in the verdant Northwest forests, will see fire as we've never experienced it. |

Judged: 1 1 1 They will lie, cheat and even steal. They will destroy people’s characters and attack any attempting to clean our air or water, using slander if they can get away with it. They will even murder if necessary any one who stands in their way. They do not care how many people they impoverish and harm. They think they know better how to run our lives and think they have this right to dominate other people. They are not people who live by example by showing how to live efficiently with non polluting ways and still have a better lifestyle. Their leaders like Rush Limbaugh tells his ditto heads to squander all the Earth's resources so the rich can justify their mansions, palaces, planes, trains and yachts. Rush has bragged about how large a carbon footprint he has with his power pig mansion and private jet to take him to his golf dates. They are authoritarians who do not want to govern, they want to rule. They do not seek to benefit society as a whole. They pursue power to dominate. They do not believe in the rights of others. They want to put a boot to our faces in the name of freedom. http://www.topix.com/forum/news/global-warmin... |

Judged: 1 1 "The Ventura, California, teen and four other juvenile plaintiffs want government officials to do more to prevent the risks of climate change -- the dangerous storms, heat waves, rising sea levels, and food-supply disruptions that scientists warn will threaten their generation absent a major turnabout in global energy policy. Specifically, the students are demanding that the U.S. government start reducing national emissions of carbon dioxide by at least six percent per year beginning in 2013. "'I think a lot of young people realize that this is an urgent time, and that we're not going to solve this problem just by riding our bikes more,' Loorz said in an interview..." http://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2... |
