Northeast Oklahoma Tornado Kills At Least 6

I hope that everyone that was injured will be okay in the end. and everyonr that is missing will turn up sooooo. soooooooooooooo very!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry but I can't help but not say this. I was watching Travis and Dick yesterday during the storms. As I do all the time when there is severe weather. However, they seemed to be more focused on the 2 storms down by Mcalister. Because they had Katie Green and the Castor brothers on those. Not really paying much attention to the storm that hit pitcher. Now I know they talked about it but not with the authority they should have. Especially when at one point the storm got up to a 9.1 and 8.7BTI. Now, don't get me wrong. They are the best. I know compared to the powdered wig on channel 8 and the others at channel 2. They are the best.

Mistie has been my best friend since we were 4 years old, she has touched and blessed so many peoples lifes just by being a part of them. What a terrible tragedy and my prayers go out to the citizens of Picher. I knkow the governor went out there and will probably just do the buy out.However I don't think they ever finished their assessment of the individual property.

I am originally from Chetopa, Kansas. Do any of you know if there was a guy by the name of Hart that may have died? I'm thinking his name was Rusty Hart?

My parents have a worker that is from picher,oklahoma and have parents and a sister that still live there and were ok after the tornado hit.

Virginia Wallace Earnshaw had relatives in Picher and Hockerville. Grandparents Bessie and Fate Hodges, Mildred, Janet Ruth and Bud. At one time, Bessie ran the Post Office. There may be some descendants around. If so, maybe you could write to this site, and let us know.

I grew up in Picher my whole life except for the past 5 1/2 yrs. There were a total of 7 deaths...some of the names where...Mistie Kelly, Sam Berry, Trista Berry, Linda Mathis, and an elderly woman with last name of Cox. Im not sure on one man because he was just visiting Picher at the time.. The son of Mistie Kelly is ok, he has tons of staples, stitches. His dad I believe is still in I.C.U with 3 broken vertebra in his back some broken ribs but I think he'll make full recovery...Thank You All for your thoughts and prayers for this little town, May God Bless You!

Bean-my almost whole family lives in and around Picher. Last name Berry. And is was Tracy Berry, not Trista.

I was raised in picher that was my hometown and it is a total shock that it is gone now.I rememeber the old timers at hoppy's saying a tornado would never hit picher that the chats would keep them out i guess you ought to ever say ever. i rememeber playing on the chats going to martins food the parades there and how everyone was family even thou they wasn't. we had a hometown pride that nobody or nothing will ever rip from this girls heart. my thoughts and prayers go out to each and eveyone.and by the grace of GOD we will pull through this hard time.

anyone know of the name Slack if they are ok? Can't find list of fatalaties anywhere on here. Thanks from Coffeyville KS
