Paul Douglas did not leave KARE for WCCO.
He left KARE for a Chicago station, then he went to WCCO.

Hey, thanks for great information! Paul Douglas one heck of a personality. Very, very quick wit! He should be on a talk station, too.

This is great news. I've become frustrated with the Weather Channel (the last place to find weather info is the Weather Channel) when I want to see what's brewing around our area.

A good online weather resource is Weather Underground at www.wunderground.com . You can track the path of storms and get an accurate picture in real time of what's going on in our part of the nation.

Good luck to Belinda and the gang with this new venture!

Digital TV is providing extra channels and the best programming we can get is 24 hour weather! How pathetic.

People should be demanding quality programming on these extra channels to break the monopolistic grip of the cable industry.

What does this have to do with Brett Favre coming to the Vikings? He played for the Packers and left and played in NY for the Jets now he wants to play here in Minnesota. How's that for fact checking?

Actually, this channel has been around for months so it's interesting that this article is coming out now.

I hope this works out!

Since PBS pulled the Aviation Weather off of CH 17 I have been having to fire up the puter every time I wanted and kind of up to date radar imaging.

Even good old Weather Bug works pretty well for tracking storms. Too bad we're not having any good ones this summer.

Another place to find good weather reporting is Intellicast (radar at http://www.intellicast.com/IcastPage/LoadPage... ).

I enjoyed Paul's weathercasts when he was at KARE. Paul pioneered the "backyard" set, which was then copied locally by WCCO on their rooftop.

Unfortunately, Paul likes to push the global warming scam, so anything he promotes must be taken with a watchful eye.

Speaking of the weather, why does it seem so cool outside? We're sitting in the middle of July, the warmest point of the year, and the forecast for the next few days is for weather in the 70s and barely cracking 80. It's nice not to have to run the air conditioner, but hot days are also appreciated at this point in the summer.

Yes, I have to agree with you. I'd like Paul Douglas and the rest of those folks would start a sitcom about a weather team! Hey, there's a cute idea! You heard it first from KK.:)

Meteorologist Paul Douglas is old news at KARE or the former WUSA 11. Back in the day Paul was part of the dream team with Paul Magers and Diana Pierce. Douglas was the first to jump ship and has been swimming ever since. Too bad. Those were happy days. After Paul returned from Chicago, where his style didn't match, he was just old news. You can't go home again.

If you are sitting at a computer reading this, then you already have better access to weather reports and forcasts than you will get from watching Paul and that cupcake Sven fumble through it.
