I am curious as to how much annual snowfall occurs when the first snow fall arrives late, such as this year? A late, light winter, or short heavy winter?

Then leave idiot and stop complaining. Nothing worse than a little whiner. If you were smart you would take advantage of every season. Hmmm.. like maybe getting off your couch and try skiing or snow shoeing..sledding. But, obviously your to whiny and would rather sit on your lard butt and complain..eat a doughnut and feel sorry foryourself loser.

We always get 100 to 110 inches no mater what. Last year we got most of it in Dec and Jan. This year we will have only about 15 inches before Christmas and most of that will be from the snow machine to our north. Lake Ontario. Moving forward into Jan expect a cold spell between Jan 16 and Jan 30th. Daytime highs during this time will not get out of the teens. We will break out of the cold spell in early Feb but we will continue with snow during the first half of the month. Then things will get progressively milder as we continue towards March. Expect 2 moderate storms this year. One in early Jan and a late winter storm around the second week of March.

I live where the lake effect snow doesn't control the amount we get, That is further East of Lake Erie and slightly lower than South west of Lake Ontario. And all we usually get is a dusting when Rochester gets 3 or more feet.. It is nice in a way, I don't have to go where the deep stuff is and I can pick where to go to get into the thick of it for skiing anyway..
It also cuts down on the amount of money I have to spend to keep my driveway heated so the snow doesn't collect on it and IT is always cleared off really nice..

Hmm! What a pity. You would rather have a black driveway than a white one. What's with that?

Snow is like sex. You never know how many inches you're going to get or when it's going to come.
