I'm sure most people know the meaning of the phrase( CIRCLE JERK), well a classic example would be the A. C. school board.

This is too funny!! When I went to school, there was no air conditioning... that’s why we had off in the summer… I never had a problem wiping the sweat on my shirt sleeve between test questions on a warm fall or spring day….and it didn’t distract me. In the winter, my parents made sure I dressed appropriately…because it was winter…and in the winter...it’s cold. Parents worked with the teachers and school board… they didn’t complain about everything the school did as though their child was being picked on…. In fact…act up in school and you got your butt whooped…..and then when you got home, it was whooped again because you got in trouble in school…oops, I forgot, somewhere between 1970 and 1990 this became child abuse…silly me. We took our notes from a blackboard.... Oh that’s right, blackboards and whiteboards are a definite sign of racism…now they use chalk board or a dry erase board. Maybe the teachers should go on strike for better working conditions…because everyone knows no one suffers when teachers strike, especially not the children attending the schools. Here is a quote from a sometimes sweating, sometimes shivering, abused child racist that graduated from high school in the 70s
“Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional,
illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream
media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible
to pick up a turd by the clean end."
Now put on some warmer clothing, shut up and do your homework.
Clearly, that temperature issue DID distract you from learning. Because otherwise, I don't know how to explain this gibberish.

Oh, and you aren't fooling anyone, Ms. Stephens, with your disguised username.

<quoted text>I totally agree. What kind of example did this bunch of losers project to the students, teachers and taxpayers of the district. We are paying taxes and thus are their boss. They should give us answers immediately. Stephens should resign at the next meeting... assuming she has any self respect whatsoever.
I agree wholeheartedly with this. If Stephens has any sense of respect for the POSITION she holds, she should resign. I would hope that Mr. Tshudy (Pres.) and other members of the board urge her to realize the damage she is doing to the integrity of the board as a whole by staying on. I sure hope people will attend the next meeting to voice these concerns!!!!!!

I believe those board members should be asked to work under the same conditions as they are asking students to learn under... Deal with it board members, it is the real world after all.

If you would please take the time to read my initial post. I did not address the temperature of the classrooms. I HAVE been seeing to it that my students are dressed appropriately. Are they still cold in some of the classes? Yes. Do I pamper them and go marching off to battle for them? No. My comment was based on the fact that these upstanding honor students are practicing their rights as young citizens to bring their concerns in a respectful way to a board of authority and in turn what did they get? "Welcome to the real world". I am not asking for them to even get their own way. I would have liked to see the board response be something to the effect of "we have heard your concerns and will discuss how to proceed from here". It is a matter of mutual respect. Thats all.

Hey Scooter, maybe you should start following the goings on of the present day C-L school board.
I did say one of the few times, didn't I? ;-)

Also, I no longer live in that district, so it's really not too much of my concern anymore. I'd love to get the heck out of the city again, though...

My concern is that this is NOT the first time that the tax payers and general public have been treated like this at meetings. I do not attend the meetings anymore because they have turned into a circus. As far as the "President" he is a fire cracker waiting to explode! If you say something he doesn't agree with he will blow up. These new board members are NOT here to serve the public they are all here for personal agendas! They ALL need to visit the classroom and see what happens in them. They need to watch how hard these students and teachers work in the new day of education. They are so out of touch with EDUCATION. All they are worried about is holding the tax dollar down. Do not get me wrong, I understand they have a tough job! Just wake up and do not be so RUDE. Remember, you chose to this job, nobody forced you to do it. Do it with an open mind! You are here to represent the entire district NOT just yourself!
