I am 43 and I remember it. I was in Middle School and ir was Homecoming. My shoes were almost covered in water when we walked into the dance. The dam broke and our phone rang off of the hook.It was terrible. The Woerners lost their mom and a sister in the flood. The remaining family members moved in the house next to me. Dave Eby almost lost h is daughter from his arms in the flood. SO many stories.....Read the book, A dam Break in Georgia.
