So AGW is invalid except during Hurricane Katrina, the Sahel drought, etc? That is just silly. There have always been drought, floods, starvation, etc. The forecasts of the IPCC are for the DEGREE of such events.

The MWP and LIA were named and documented in Western Europe. No similar change, synchronous over the world is known and it could not happen since there is no energy input to provide the extra potential energy of a warmer climate globally.

So in terms of 'caused' the most likely scenario is a ( only slighly changes needed) deflection of the warming winds that bring a balmier climate from the south and west ( After being deflected by the Rockies southward by coriolis forces).

Billions is a term that is a thousand times larger than million so I am certainly not trying to minimize the issue. I strongly agree that 37 billion people is too much for any revolution, civil war, or other insurrection no matter how strongly supported by those remaining.

When 90% of the world's expert scientists and ALL of its major scientific bodies tell us we have a serious environmental problem, we should ignore them and jump to our own uninformed conclusions? Based upon what the largest polluters are telling us to think?
