I think that putting them in prison isnt going to change anything. If it was your brother or someone
in your family you wouldn want them behind bars. Everybody makes mistakes. They are good boys they need to be at home with their family. They were my classmates and they need a second chance.

These "good boys" should have been home with their families the night they committed murder. What if your brother and sister were the victims? These "good boys" chose to murder. Your argument is flawed, noyb. It is true that people make "mistakes" and the function of the "mistake" is to teach those who make them a lesson. The severity of the lesson is in direct relationship to the severity of the "mistake," noyb. The murders’ life for the lives of their victims is a logical lesson learned. Your "classmates" shot two people in the back of the head. Could this “second chance” you want for these “good boys” be a second chance to murder? Putting your “classmates” in prison will not erase the murder they committed nor resurrect the people they murdered, but it will assuredly impede their “second chance” to murder the brother and sister of somebody else. When you think about the good times you had with these “good boys” and “classmates” of yours noyb, I want you to think about the good times the family members of the victims had with their loved ones. Alfred Quong and Sophie Jue were hard working and sweet. The night your “good boys” murdered them, they were under the assumption that all your “good boys” wanted to do was to buy food and drink. Then when their backs were turned, your “good boys” killed them. Apparently it does not take much to trigger the murderous indifference your “classmates” have been proven to possess. Count your blessings noyb, that you were not the victim of these murders’ goodness while in class or some study session with them.

Josh chose to be where he was. He was part of a murder. Just because you know him and he is your best friend, doesn't take away the fact that he killed two people. He will be punished for his crime. 754boy, I'm sorry your friend chose to kill two people and that you are hurt. I hope you learn form you friend's bad choice. Killing someone is wrong. Josh knew that when he did it.

What the two boys did clearly was NOT a mistake. It was cold, calculated and senseless.
If it was money they had wanted, they should've just taken it and run. Why pull the trigger on two innocent people?

It's such a sad moment in history to see these young men lives be taken away due to their pure ignorance nevertheless, they took two lives in return. I have read comments, news articles, and listened to friends and family members talk about this matter. At the end of the day, 4 lives are gone. Whether they learn from it or not, a punishment must be delivered and upheld. To go home to a small town that is different in every aspect however, not only did those young men affect the lives of the victims relatives, they affected the community. God judges and he forgives therefore, he will deliver the final decision to what happens to these gentlemen. Also, it doesn't matter what group they were in, who knew them, or how they were raised. These gentleman had the same right as all Americans does and that right is a CHOICE. They didn't choose to do what is right therefore, they must deal with the consequences. It's sad but, it Happens.

Should we expect more from young black children? Look at Shelby, Winstonville, Ruleville, Clarksdale, Shaw, Greenville, and several other mainly "African American" cities or towns in Mississippi. The towns are a total disgrace. Unkept lawns, government building, roads, stricken economy after the European and Asian populations leave, and failed school systems that were once excelling in the past, make these poor cities an example why many view the South as dirty and uneducated. I cringe as I watch local news. The process of listening to several so called "educated" and regular citizens, who are African, speak is embarrassing. No wonder the South is viewed as a government dependent state by many highly educated professors and students. If Africans think their heritage is so wonderful in the South, then why have companies, business, and original descendants moved from towns such as Clarksdale, Greenville, Ruleville, Shaw, and Shelby? Look back in history during the 50's-60's. A researcher will understand how well these cities were building. After integration was forced upon the public, these cities haved started the process of reverting to poverty stricken ghost towns. I am sad to say that Cleveland is the last city, in the Delta, heading towards the direction of Greenville and Clarksdale. Many white people are moving away, or into the country. Crime is so bad in Clarksdale and Greenville, that these cities are basically nonexistence in terms of raising a family.

Where is your tangible evidence of white flight and that Cleveland is heading in a negative direction? Further, you are implying that white people make a school good? And if the white people leave then only dumb kids remain?

Seriously, let's just meet downtown and brawl. I've had it with ignorant cowards like you.

Mooncricket, what an uplifting, honest post! More citizens need to stop being so scared and speak up like we all do as we get together as friends in our homes. You make Anon look like a young dullard kid. He wants to fight you? Oh my, that made me laugh so hard. Poor kiddo got his feelings hurt. I agree with you though. Those towns you named look like complete dumps. The elected officals sure do know how to run Mound Bayou, Shelby, Gunnison, Shaw, and several others in the ground from once how wonerful of towns they were in the 60's. How much has the populations grow? I looked it up, an wow have the whites moved out as quick as possible to save their children. Look at all the new building built, and new companies coming to the towns since the white population left years ago.... Geee what a waste of tax payers money. All the whites, Germans, Italian, Asian,Irish are trying to move to more white towns to start communities back. I also remember Shelby, MS. What a wonderful town in the 40's-early 70's! They had car dearlerships, a movie theater, nice homes, wonderful upstaning schools, cotton gins that were running, nice clean grocery stores, gas stations, banks, clothing stores, and local restaurants. Look at that poor town now. It looks like a third world country like Mound Bayou. No one is to blame but the citizens. I don't think Mound Bayou's history is anything to be proud of as an African American. I would be more proud of people like Dr. Ben Carson. I bet hardly any blacks in any Delta Towns know how great of a man he is, and what he has done. They are all stuck on the civial rights stuff that happen decades ago. Look up a man who is in the hear and now making a change in a large city for thousands of people. Dr. Carson puts these little Mound Bayou people to shame. Lord, even the educated blacks hate how the Delta blacks put a bad image on their culture. Poor houses, roads, buildings falling in, mayors that have little education other than running a night club, and school systems that make an educated people want to vomit. Anon crawl out of your little selfish racist hole and look at Shelby, Mound Bayou, Winstonville, Gunnison, Clarksdale, and several other "majority black towns", how do they stand up to Oxford, Cleveland, Olive Branch, or Hernando, MS??
