Check the husband's alibi, since they were separated. Or his acquaintances. Maybe she had a boyfriend....

Just announced on WFTV news. OPD has only solved 15% of crimes last year.
Nice job Val Demings and your goon squad. I wouldn't expect a huge effort in finding out our $5,000.00 winner

Why DOESN'T this come as a shock to people? This ending is as predictable as the twists and swerves of an M. Night Shamaylan movie.

I wouldn't expect a huge effort in finding out our $5,000.00 winner And again we hear from the ignorant and uninformed. This takes into account all reported crime. Think about it for a second if you can. How many thefts of wallets, bikes, iPods, hub caps do you think there are in a city tis size. Property crimes are very hard to solve. Burglaries that happen in the dead of the night when no one is around as a witness makes things very difficult. Robberies can be hard due to the speed and cover bad guys use, but in time many are caught. Homicides for years were one of your most easily solved crimes due to the nature of the relationship between victim and suspect or to the fact that citizens were very good about bringing information to the police and forensic study. But the percentage takes into all crime reported, even the crime where the victims decline prosecution, hence no one works it to solve it. Please do everyone a favor before you shoot off at the typewriter. Know a little something.

What planet are YOU living on? Val Demings was promoted to Chief of Orlando Police Department; not the Sheriff. The Sheriff is an elected position; the Chief of Police is appointed. Having said that, I certainly wouldn't blame Chief Demings for crime stats existing when she assumed office. She is trying several new programs that may result in a reduction of crime. Give her some time and see what she can accomplish. She's a good cop.

I'm living on this planet, but thanks for the correction. I do know she's chief of police...just wasn't thinking when I typed "sheriff". Thanks for catching my mistake.

She got what she deserves? Glad you all are not God, and don't make the final decision. I know her, and know that she was a changed person. I just talked to her Thursday afternoon. HER SON didn't deserve this. You people are amazing.

When did she become Sheriff???? She's Orlando Police Chief. I can't believe that people live in this community and pay such little attention to the what is actually going on in their community and then feel that they are expert enough to issue comment.
