Radio host angers parents of autistic children

Typical "compassionate" right winger. They care about children from conception till birth. After that, the kid is on thier own. And don't let that kid grow to be angry teen, or it's letal injection.

Michael Savage is to broadcasting and lucid social and political discourse approximately what World Wrestling Federation is to sport - and he is packaged for delivery to the same demographic of slack-jawed, mouth-breathing nitwits - angry chubby white people anxious to blame the snuggles of life on some damned body (eg. our friend, silent majority who posted earlier in this thread).

Savage is the same strain of filth as Imus - referring to a squad of profoundly gifted student athletes on the Rutgers Women's Basketball team as "nappy-headed hoes". I would love to see that obscenely pasty geriatric try to cover the point guard that he felt comfortable insulting.

They're not there to elevate the public discourse or inform or enlighten. They are there to make their sad, pathetic existence easier through the wealth they can generate by providing their demographic what it desires most - legitimization of their intense hatred of themselves and everything else.

How does one become a Savage, or Imus, or Limbaugh fan? I don't know ... traumatic head injury maybe. It could be subsisting on a diet of paint-chip salads as a child. Maybe erotic adventures in the barn with Uncle Lester would fill someone with that much hate. Maybe potty training at gun point did it to them. Who the hell knows? I certainly don't.

What I do know for sure is that I won't listen to it - and I won't underwrite its production. It is easy to discover the advertisers who fund this crap. Simply don't make that underwriting a good business decision.

There will always be a market for hate. We don't get to decide that. We do however get to decide whether we will shop at that market.

The may indeed want to blame their 'snuggles' on someone, but that would be another discussion. I meant 'struggles'.

Actually it's Weinerstein. That's right folks, Savage is really a JEW masquarading as a conservative to make money off of the 'angry white male / trailer trash' demographic radio listener. Nothing new as Limbaugh (yet another masquarading JEW talk-show host) has been doing this for Years now.

Rampant crime? Committed by people diagnosed with AUTISM?

Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce to you one member of the core audience of Michael Savage and the rest of the aforementioned dolts of talk radio and Fox news. It's scary that there are more of this type of person out wandering the streets, driving cars, handling sharp impliments, and owning firearms. I can't help but wonder did he fail to understand the topic or is he just that stupid to believe that people with autism are out in the world causing crime waves.

There will be two demonstrations this Sunday calling for the firing of Michael Savage and for his sponsors to stop supporting his program.

On his July 16th program Savage said,

"I'll tell you what autism is. In 99 percent of the cases, it's a brat who hasn't been told to cut the act out. That's what autism is. What do you mean they scream and they're silent? They don't have a father around to tell them,'Don't act like a moron. You'll get nowhere in life. Stop acting like a putz. Straighten up. Act like a man. Don't sit there crying and screaming, idiot."

When asked to explain his comments Savage claimed that his comments were taken out of context, and asserted that his critics were "Stalinists," and has gone on to suggest there is no autism epidemic and that bad parenting is a cause of autism.

Enough is enough. It is time for Savage to find a new job, and for his advertisers to put their money somewhere else.

FYI - They try to do everything else first. ABA, therapists, BSC's, TSS's, Sensory integration.

Here's one dad of an autistic child who is mad as heck! Savage is an idiot who thinks he can get by with saying anything he wants on his show, sorta like Imus, think I spelled that correctly, Anyway, the sad part about it is that he probably will, he'll apologize himself silly and it'll be forgotten until the next time, but we won't forget, the millions of parents who deal with and love their autistic children unconditionally everyday. We will continue to fight for them tooth and nail, while these so called radio "personalities" and I use the word lightly, continue to say whatever is on their mind without consequence. I think they should fire him outright, no severance pay, nothing, get him off the air. We as Americans should not tolerate rude behavior in these IDIOTS! Maybe as instructive and disturbing as the revelation of who Mike Savage really is in the incident, is the frightening notion that there are at least enough sick, twisted, self-loathing people in America to make an audience - and even a few apologists for Mike Savage.

There is something about these people that incites me to grab my axe handle and wade on it. Of course, I won't because that is not who I am.

One wonders how the species has survived this long.

I guess his remarks hit home with me.
Disease and affliction are subjects to be handled lightly, not in a joking manner.

My son has had two open heart surgeries and was born with mild Autism, but his heart is healthy now.
My mother went through months of chemo and radiation for breast cancer, but has been in remission for over a year now.
