AP Interview: One-on-One With Drew Peterson

so he's worried about the jury pool being tainted by all the 'bad press'....uh....didn't he and his attorney decide to go on national television and mock this whole thing....smugly laughing about that he couldn't get a date??? how about going on a talk radio show making a game out of dating drew??? or the comments he's made about being a good kisser???
he's so detatched from his own actions...(a sociopathic trait)....it is everyone else out to get him....when he, himself dug the hole he's now standing in....
he says he's very angry with Stacy for leaving....
(her fault....for leaving....if she did)
uh...didn't he initially say their marriage was fine???? then he said she told him she wanted a divorce????
how can HE be angry at her for leaving, since he's the one who doesn't seem to know how to be a husband....ie, he stalked her, monitored her every move, threatened her, emotionally intimidated her, and accused her of having an affair with the pastor just because when she went to see the pastor for counseling, she "dressed up"....a husband who loves and cherishes his wife doesn't do those things if he expects to keep her at home!!
Once again, he's displacing his anger, and he's blaming everyone else for all his problems....
he is so disordered he cannot admit HE"S to blame!

If.... If??? I would be angry too if the woman/women I had been involved with in the past caused my life to be upset in any little way. It's just these ones are coming back from the dead to spotlight the cause.

And here's what doesn't make sense about HIS anger:
let's just say, for hypothetical sake, that Stacy did run away with another man....
How is it that Drew initially stated that Stacy and he were doing fine in their marriage....then said, "we were having counseling"....
how is it that IF she ran off, that Drew states Stacy to be a wonderful and loving mother....
a wonderful and loving mother wouldn't leave her kids, dots....that primal instinct is much stronger than any other pull on Earth....
How is it, that IF she ran off, that NO ONE has found even a slight trace of a credit card, a sighting, a video picture, a social security number being used, a manifest from an airline or ship.....
Unless she managed to meet someone not from the area that she implicitly trusts, who has no ties or family members anywhere who could identify her, and who is independently wealthy and can support the two of them, THIS HYPOTHESIS IS WEAKER THAN 16 CUPS OF TEA MADE FROM THE SAME BAG.

I believe Drew had motive; I believe, given his history of knowing how to cover up a crime, given his history of knowing who to illicit help from, given his history of not wanting to go through a divorce and risk losing over half his pension, home, etc. that it is much easier to believe he's guilty....
I have talked to police officers from all over this country....so far...it's Innocent= 0; Guilty=10....
No one knows a cop like another cop....
the last one I talked to does internal investigations for the State of Texas...
he was a cop for 30 years...I think I would believe his view before I would ever believe a known liar's statements on 'what happened'....
I know you want to give the old boy benefit of the doubt...justice,....not guilty until proven innocent....etc....
but the guy's story just doesn't fit....esp. when he changes his story, depending on his audience...
a leopard doesn't change their spots....
look at his pattern over the last 29 years....
he's always cheated, lied, stolen, or abused to get where he is today....how can you even begin to believe a word he says about Stacy???

He also said that he asked a psychiatrist why anyone would do such a thing (leave without warning) and the answer was, "it happens."

And if she left, he should be angry. And he is.

And she brought up divorce pretty regularly, probably every time they squabbled.{ He said when she was PMSing she would talk divorce. Everyone went nuts over this, as if women PMSing don't do strange things due to rapid hormone level changes.) Women talk about the horrors of PMS, but if the man says "ok, when she was PMSing, she would do such and such..." he gets skinned alive. So women want everyone to know about PMS, to explain irratic behavior, but men can't talk mention it?)

She WAS a good mom. As in, "before she took off, I thought she was a good mom".

He is consistent in word and action. He acts like an innocent man and speaks like an innocent man.

And until I see some evidence, he is innocent.

Note to dots..... He eliminated the evidence. You won't see any. You won't find any. He is a professional law enforcement agent with 30 years experience. He has experience, connections, motive, a questionable history with relationships, and the attitude and demeanor of a felon lately. There is no proof she ran away and logic along with simple deduction of his actions can tell you he is lying plain and simple. I would think a scorned husband of his integrity would act as he had so consistently in the past and found her and her friend and confronted them where ever they were. He is a budding actor starring in his life story, too bad it is a tragedy.

Also the term some of us so conveniently leave out when proclaiming DP's status with this investigation is that he is PRESUMED, get that some of you, presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. I do "presume" he is innocent and also did an adaquet job covering up all the evidence in these heinous crimes he has committed to these women.

The sad reality here is that all his time on the PD gave him all the ins and outs of the justice system. He knows how to pull the strings to sway his case and playing on the public as he has was in the game plan from day one. I for one hope that if he's guilty, he made just one fatal mistake somewhere and it will turn up. If it is as he says, that she left with someone, I would hope that now that he has had awhile to suffer under public scrutiny that she comes forward for the sake of her family and clears the slate. Scott Pederson thought he was going to get away with murder and he almost did. But the one mistake he made was his undoing.

I'm surprised he does'nt have an agent yet, he's quite the actor!

And if she was angry at him for over-controlling her life or thinking he was going to abuse her she was right to be angry with him and talk to a lawyer. Oh my bad - she never made it to the appointment.

One thing that I was just thinking about. A lot of people are complaining about the public's view of DP since this all started.

The part I find even more interesting is the fact that people that know him and have worked with him are not supporting him. I mean - your friends would stand by your side if they really thought there was no way you would do something. Even DP apparently discussed it in an interview.

Since he retired shortly after his wife disappeared, Peterson said, he has heard from a single member of the Bolingbrook police department where he spent 32 years, and can think of no one there he can call a friend.

Are they all swayed by the media too?? We must be a very, very weak society then. I'll tell you with 100% certainty that if my husband disappeared my friends would stand by my side and would say there is NO WAY POSSIBLE that I had anything to do with it.

I just love the fact that DP is always smiling and laughing on tv. Why does he think this whole thing is a joke? I'll tell you why, because HE KNOWS no one will ever find her! Does the idiot not realize his kids will see this?See their father laughing at the fact?
This man is COLD! Those kids are being brainwashed into thinking their mother is bad and had abandoned them, while dad is a hero who stuck around.
UGH! Someone needs to get those kids out of there.

Yes he is consistent in words and actions. However, I think that it is to the contrary of what you say. Seriously - if he acted and spoke like an innocent man you wouldn't have to defend him so much. Think about it.

Question - Is it acting like an innocent man to allow the police to only search a part of your home and one vehicle? Why not all or nothing? This is just odd behavior IMO. It is like saying - I have nothing to hide here, here, and here but don't look there, there, and there.

Drew Peterson allowed a limited search on the night his wife was reported missing, but investigators were not allowed to look throughout the entire house and were given access to only one of the vehicles at that time, Dobrich said.

I want to know , why does DP have to "ACT" innocent?

I have to say that I did LMAO off when he told off the reporters saying "I've got kids in the car, Morons". Good for him, trying to shield his kids. Probably the smarted thing that he ever did.
