However, "shoving" may be a fantasy. The fuzz ought to be very careful about filing charges based on the statements of activists who may be willing to commit perjury for political purposes. Also, "hate crimes" do not exist; they are unconstitutional laws.

I'm sorry that the Pride participant was assaulted but really what is the difference if Edwards had assaulted a straight man and called him a breeder and any other slurs. It surely wouldn't be called a hate crime then that's for sure

hate crimes are unconstitutional according to who? just like you to blame the victim in this mess, she was trying to get the guy upset so that her four friends could jump him. all because he was gay. she violated his rights, and needed to be arrested... you cant just go around beating on people because you don't like their sexual preference.

The guy wishes he were "laying" on his back. He was, in, fact "lying" there.

About 25 years ago a local septic company, still in business but with different owners. Had a habit of pumping into creeks whenever they thought they could get away with it. Saved them the cost of safe transfer at the treatment plant.

They sold the business after being caught twice and fined out of business. Served them right.

If it turns out John Carrera had hired an illegal to illegally dump he should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

WOW. What a pathetic place it is that I pay for to live in. If I was walking in a park with one of my kids and saw that bum (piece of shitee) doing that I would have kicked him in the face until he was nearly dead.

Can someone inform the judges that meth heads are not going to go out and cure themselves. Lock them up for NO LESS THAN 6 MONTHS so they can get clean. Then they can wear an ankle bracelet and face searches weekly.

That is the interesting part of the story.

It has not been determined that the victim was gay; nor does it matter.

He was assaulted because the perpetrator "perceived" him to be gay.

The woman was really working hard to find someone to hate.

Sad; I remember her as a very nice & attentive waitress.
I've seen that same self-destructive behavior destroy another nice waitress (from a certain SC wharf cafe) many years ago.

The bums with good old "Scary Sherry" made a smart choice not to get involved in what may be an assault charge and a hate crime. Good to hear that was the only bad thing that went on during the parade..And whats with the guy laying under the bench doing his "thing"? Did anyone notice a Horses in the immediate area? well bill, i have actually shut things down around here as i am leaving in a week, that being said, i am lucky, i can no work when i choose, or choose not to work... the winter months i work alot less. the fact is, i often stop posting for weeks at a time, and then resume, that, my friend is when i am working. i can work for a week doing a remodel or repair, and live off of that for the next two months, wouldn't you like to be able to do that...?????often i put people to work, and i do little more than drive by and check out to see that they are doing the job right.
