Actually I do know how they change there ISP. Someone that I got to know said, they bought a program that changes there ISP. So they can troll under many profiles, names, and different locations. Yes I have seen it.

Sounds really freaky and insecure to me. This is not an innocent act. It is the act of a coward, that can't be who they are and say what they want, and own it.

I registered and it makes no difference. There is a text field called "Hometown". I changed it. It doesn't work. It still shows where the server is located for the Internet service I'm using. Just happens to be 3000 miles away.

THIS IS TOTALLY STUPID. THE WEBMASTERS FOR THIS SITE ARE INSANE!

Hello...I do not know what to say or where to begin, but I really need some help and I am hoping that you will see this and reply...I have been posting on a forum on a regular basis and I haven't bothered anyone...Someone started harassing me and following me all over the forum...Every time I post, that person would post and reply...Now, the person is pretending to be me, by using the name I used to post with and has been making a mockery of me...I don't know why they picked me out and started on me, because I was not bothering anyone...I have reported 3 threads to be deleted and no one will delete them for me...One thread I made and one my friend made...The 3rd one was made by an imposter and they just won't stop posting and pretending to be me...If all 3 of these threads are removed completely, then I feel like they will stop doing this and leave me alone...Please help me get rid of these 3 threads...I have reported them and will keep reporting them, but they are still there...I don't know who is doing this to me or why, but I have an idea of a couple of people it could be...I just want it all gone...That's all...Thanks much...

Kathy, It's called a proxy server. You can use a proxy server.. A server that sits between a client application, such as a Web browser, and a real server. It intercepts all requests to the real server to see if it can fulfill the requests itself. If not, it forwards the request to the real server.

Kind of what ya are doing is showing topix.com the IP address of the proxy that your loged into/onto.

well i have the same problem with someone posting as me im a reg. user and i can not change location. i need mine hid as well because of an abusive ex hubby that once found me on here. if anyone can tell me how to change mine PLEASE PLEASE DO

I post on a forum where post after post is a name with no isp and no location. How do they do that? I am on aol I would like my ISP to say AOL it always did not it is putting in a location..not my location btw...does anyone know how I can get it back to just saying AOL? Thanks Sophie
