So Editor Racine blacklists posters of his choosing, eh? He chooses to blacklist Shylock, Dusty and Milkweed. He lets stand Bavarian Hillbilly. I hope all those in Capitan who have been slandered by Bavarian Hillbilly now sue the pants off of Racine for aiding and abetting in that slander.

Dear Editor Marty Racine: Please help me interpret this Bavarian Hillbilly post from Wednesday, November 11 (from "Capitan tempers flare, post #129):

Bavarian Hillbilly says:"...And btw. I stand tall for my friends - touch one of them and you will regret it - no threat but a promise and I am known to keep my promises. You have gone to (sic) far, I'm not kidding!"

Marty Racine says above in column:"I'm considering bouncing Bavarian Hillbilly, who is verified to live in Germany. She's not menacing, but she keeps pulling the threads into absurd shapes."

"Not menacing", Indeed!

Ban "Bavarian Hillbilly."

P.S. Her threat post was in response to a well known Shaksperian quote, "The Lady doth protest too much, methinks."!!!

I hope that commenters like "Sunny," who wished me an expensive and painful death, will be among those who are banned.

A Democrat protest. Isn't your President about "transparency" and being politically correct? Oh, yeah right, not true.

Ellen, I have seen how you've been treated on this forum, for no other apparent reason than that someone disagrees with your politics. There is something sinister about the German poster and I believe she has slandered many local officials without regard for what she has done or who she has hurt. I find her rather "scary".

I've written other posts to Ellen in the past. Feel free to look them up. If you know anything at all about me, you must know that I do not like people being unfairly attacked. Exactly as I said, "how cute". People who have consistantly attacked others, as has BH, are fair game to me. Incidentally, BH has behaved as a fanatic, i.e. a person marked or motivated by an extreme, unreasoning enthusiasm, as for a cause (and she is German). I could list many posts in which she's said much worse to me, but I'm not that petty.

Why can't people get back to discussing issues and quit the attacks? I can't figure out what they accomplish.

As you are "fair game" for others too. You have done the same things, you accuse BH of doing. You are no better, so stop acting like it. You don't like people being "unfairly attacked" yet you unfairly attack? Two wrongs don't make a right, especially when you try to act like you are the better person. Thus, my point, you are a hypocrite.

I have to give it to you, Mr. Racine. Although I disagree with you on a number of issues, your taking a stance in this matter is just in my eyes.

It seems that an otherwise useful tool -- comments -- are being overrun by personal petty grievances exacerbated by Internet anonymity. It is nothing new, anyone who has been on a BBS has seen the behavior. It is generally referred to as "trolling."

I really don't care who attacked ME or what they may have said about ME. No one knows me or who I am, but I have adamently opposed the vicious, slanderous attacks that were being made on elected and other officials and citizenry on this forum since it was pointed out to me. It was hurtful and destructive to them, to their careers and to their friends and families. Just a guess, but I think I am the better person here.

There is no interpretation needed - Shylock posted very nasty lies about a friend that doesn't even post here - he stalked a 16-year-old boy to intimidate his mom, even posted about the boys activities to show her "he knows what her son does and where he goes" - this is what I was answering to. And if he did touch one of my friends he'd be sued and WOULD regret it - that's not a threat that is a promise. There is nothing unclear in this message.

And btw, I never read Shakespeare writing "methinks".

You should re-read what Mr. Racine wrote - I didn't read anything about apologizing on behalf of an associate or on behalf of BH. In fact he apologized to ALL those that have been dragged through the sewer (of course including elected officials)- like you did with me in countless posts, btw. The main "topics" of the forum posts were not about BH, the Sederwalls, Sunny or Virginia, whoever she is, but about elected and other officials and citizenry of Lincoln County in a misguided "quest to clean up Lincoln County". Those whom you mention above were among or reputed to be among those on the attack. Said attacks were unfair and hurtful to many people who were not protected by anonymity as were you and I, BH, Sunny and others. A very big difference there.
