I gave an email address to, but then within days, unsubscribed from both sites. I USED TRACEABLE DISPOSABLE EMAIL ADDRESSES to track the emails' use by these & other sites.

First site gives your email out to 419 scammers (Nigerian scam etc.), resulting in dozens of spams per week.

Second site too gives out your address AFTER SOME MONTHS ONLY, NOT IMMEDIATELY, after you unsubscribe from their site. Suddenly, from Sept 12, 09:42 to Sept 14, 09:40 -- over two days -- I received 354 scam emails to the disposable email address given to collegeinformationdirect.com !!!
Needless to say, disabling both email addresses stopped the spam in its tracks -- now zero per day!:)

Beware! Use disposable email address or say goodbye to email peace.

[I originally came upon these sites through a "free" long distance minutes offer from PhoneHog. Shame on you phonehog for promoting spam sites... It's much easier for us to just get a $5 phone card (e.g. the Royal card from comfi.com ; a measly 1 or 2 cents per minute or 5 or 6 cents from payphone!)]

Shortly after signing up on Hulu.com I began receiving span in large amounts. Over three hundred per day. I know it was from them because I hadn't given my address to anybody else.
