I think one of the hardest parts about being a fat chick is that your'e femalehood is never really as validated by the outside world. The media, movies, tv and advertising certainly don't embrace you as female. Males certainly don't seem to embrace you as a girl. You end up feeeling like some sort of laughable immitation of what a girl should be.
One of my greatest fears was that no guy could "keep it up" if he were with me. That my body was so disgusting he would only be able to give a sub par performance becuase he wasn't as turned on.
To this day I still have horrible fears and anxieties about my private parts.(The feeling of not being a real girl) I hate the size of my clitoris, vaginal area, everything. I don't feel there is anything special or attractive about me in that area. And lloking in a small mirror can reduce me to tears.
Being taught your'e not a "real girl" can cause such deep seated phobias and compulsive disorders they can take over an individuals life.

I hope your research, and your contact with all of us, is helping you to sort out these feelings .. many of them are unfounded or not as extreme as you used to think, and I think you know that.

Sometimes it is very hard for me to cotrol my own thoughts. I think people take that for granted, being in control of their thoughts. But I don't. It is also very hard for me to desire physical friendship with others. Perhaps this is because of my depressed state sometimes or my social anxiety. I don't know. But I always appreciate a coming onto Topix and talking with others.

Believe it or not, most of us cannot control our thoughts very well.
The brain seems to have two parts to it ... the part we can control .. or at least think we can, and the part that seems to go off on it's own merry way (A freind once said "My brain seems to have a mind of it's own!).
THe most obvious is in dreams, but apparently every waking moment it is happening ...

I can't see how there would be that result. Except of course if they get pregnant.

But sex itself is excercise, so if anything it will make them slimmer and more toned.

I've been fat, and now I'm thin...Lost 60 lbs this year. Can tell you I'm hit on a lot more now that I'm thin, but can also tell you that quantity says nothing of quality!
I dated some really awesome guys when I was heavier - they liked me for ME. Now it seems like any guy in a club who's breathing will take a shot - its sad, nothing is based on personality.

THe sad thing is, when the fat perons hears this about them, they takeit as a negative because it is nto what they wnat to herear .. they are wishing they wer seen s as physically attractive ...

It is the law of compensation ... I find that overly attractive poeple sometimes lack the personality because they never had to develop that abiliy.

I had girlfriends tell me that they meet all these idiot guys, I just never had that trouble...I met very very wonderful guys!
NOW I see what they meant. I'm married, I am not out looking, but now I see all these guys that just go for what the visual is... There's nothing to that... I thought it'd be fun if guys would do a double take when I walk through a room - now I realize it's not that fun. I'm the same person I was sixty pounds ago, and if they didn't look at me then, then screw em all now!

Heavier women are beautiful, the catch is that they need to find themselves beautiful, and then others will. Like mentioned before, its all about self esteem!

I do know what I am talking about on this subject!!!

And honestly, health wise I'm glad I lost my weight, but the weight loss didn't make my life perfect, like I thought it would. I actually felt prettier when I had more weight...

I'm sorry if you took offense to my comment.

I was not referring to you specifically. IN fact I could see that you had more spunk and self-confidence than to feel that way.

I was referring in more general terms to SOME overwieght women who did react the way I mentioned. There are women I have known personally that did this.

YOur experience does make an interesting point, not as some story but as true experience, that how you feel inside has way mroe to do with your happiness than your external appearance, or possesions, money, etc..

wow i dont know what to say about this but i am a thick girl size 16 and i look good and i no i do guys still talk to mee;; and i honestly have most guy friends and im a beautiful girl i just gotta little extra weight:]
