Well first off we all know it is a historic landmark, but that place looks like crap! Good thing it got shut down someone might have got hurt stepping in one of them holes that are marked of with caution tape. Why hasn't this placed ever been shut down by an inspector?? It does suck that the town has NO theater at all but in a way it is good. Maybe instead of improving all the parks they should build a new movie theater!

"they" Who is "they"? If you think it is a good investment, then go down to the bank, mortgage your life to get a loan, and build a new theater.

Aww, too bad. We sure missed it at Christmas. It had become a tradition to take all the kids the night after Christmas. They were pretty disappointed this year. Plus, we have some pretty good memories of the Pecos. The bad thing is, once these facilities are gone, they're usually gone forever. Rest in peace, Pecos Theater.

Lots of memories in that old theater....first job, first date, talent shows, sticky floors, 25 cent popcorn....but now I'm showing my age!!
It was a great place and its really too bad it had to close. Thank you, Rudy, for keeping it up for this many years. Who knows, maybe someone else who can appreciate its beauty and history will renovate and reopen it again someday soon, and it will continue to be a place where memories are made again.

Another historic building down the tubes, so sad since the J. Campos administration had received 3 million to renovate the downtown area by Gov.Bill, but they used it to build other non-essential trappings. Even the dive center, such a waste of money will never open or serve the people of Santa Rosa. What priorities!

You are sooo wrong. Rudy was voted out of office because Alvin and Gomez bad mouthed him all over town about that project. Make sure you thank them that your kids having one less thing to do in this town.

According to the census Santa has grown in the last ten years, Rudy tried but how can you make a living when people would rather rent a dvd instead of going to the movies

Not true about our kids not having anything to do in this town! they can get on this web, site and learn how most of the people here talk crap of the town that suport them,O wait their mostly on welfare and spend thier time talking bad of the people that work and have a job and try to make this a bettter place for our kids,so the ones that talk about everyone should try to better themselves and find work and MAYBEjust MAYBE all the resturants that are closed down becouse no one wants to get off thier welfare ass.maybe the resturants will open and this place we call home will be something once again.God bless this little town I call home and keep all safe, Amen

Damn the theatre was gettin old anyway. But we do need something for people to do instead of sitting on their azses all day watching spongebob. Maybe an arcade or a recreation center. It woulda been nice if they put up the waterpark. Theres plenty to do but it gets old after a minute. Another thing that would be nice to have in town is a drive in theatre.
