Panama City has more than its fair share of corrupt judges. Judicial misconduct and outright abuse of judicial powers in nothing new in Panama City, Florida.

The actions of the dirty judges seems to be more deliberate and brazen over time.

The constitution is ignored and many judges are too cozy with area business owners.

Here is an example:

Panama City Surgeon and convicted drug lord Dr. Michael Reed of Panama City may be getting off on probation since he has cozy ties with Federal Magistrate Larry A. Bodiford of Panama City, Florida.

Judge Bodiford is one of the judges assigned early on in the Dr. Michael Reed case and at the same time, Dr. Michael Reed retained Judge Bodifords law partner Bill R. Hutto of their shared law offices of Hutto and Bodiford of Panama City, Florida in a 9 million dollar civil suit.

Could it have been the plan all along that Reed would retain Bodiford's practice for the 9 million dollar civil suit and then Bodiford would help with the motion for probation????

The local media doesn't dare to report on this obvious conflict of interest.
