I'm always curious about the people who say that having an abortion is such an extreme mental trauma to a woman. Maybe it's because I went to high school/college in the '70's, but all the women I knew who had an abortion (and in those days it wasn't a stigma but a badge of courage)let go a sigh of relief that could have put out the Chicago Fire. They were happy as...(fill in your own favorite cliche)!

Abortion is not the answer. The answer is "responsibility". Abortion is not used for birth control. Abortion kills the baby. You would not have been alive if you were aborted for birth control.

You know.. for all that Extreme Christian Conservatives are for "Less Government"...they sure are quick to want the government to pass laws concerning personal and moral issues. Despite what you may think... NO ONE who is Pro Choice believes in killing babies. I think it is a terrible practice (having had one years ago that I know was the right decision to make but will never be far from my mind) but it is a personal procedure that should not be decided by the government. I also agree that all of you who want it to be outlawed should put your money where your mouths are. Either adopt the babies that are born to mothers who dont want them (you wont because you all want blond hair/blue eyed babies) or agree to taxes that go towards social programs that help the mothers that have to take care of these children (you wont because you think that they are all "welfare mothers" who dont deserve the governments help, or support correct sexual education in schools. Not just "Abstinance Only" programs that teach religious beliefs in public schools and dont work anyway! Im tired of the lip-service and the bible-waving (This from a Catholic and Christian)

No, it's that they [don't want] to believe that, which is why they try any way they can to deceive themselves and others as to what is really being aborted. I believe honesty with oneself is the only way to be honest with others as well. And to be dishonest with themselves about what's in a woman's womb is just them deceiving themselves, then they spread that deception around like wildfire. That's just wrong to do.
