In FYR Macedonia-are the conditions of social distress and poverty that pose the greatest problems for children: the percentage of the unemployed population is 39% and families living below poverty levels have risen from 4% in 1991 to 22% in the next decade. Even in rural areas and in mountain villages, the situation is even more dramatic.
While official estimates are evidence of school attendance by 93%, participation in pre-school circuit is just 12%, because of cost and distance traveled.
As for the category of disabled people, the Macedonian Parliament has recently passed a law that ensures their participation in educational activities for at least four hours a day.
In addition, two priority issues that merit the definition of specific policies relating to the creation of a civil registry to include the children of displaced families who still have not ristabilizzati and combat illegal trafficking of women and children for the circuits prostitution.

Children from every ethnic group were forcibly taken out of Greece by the multi-ethnic Resisyance of Greece.Most of these children were Greek.There are Official Documents that prove it plus records of the international outcry that immediately followed the act of taking minors out of this country and their placing in the safety of the orphanages of various 'socialist heavens'.I better not expand on that,because those children have spoken as adults about socialist hospitality's 'sweet ways'!
We've demanded the return of those children persistently, incistently.
This country did not ask for the return of her ethnic greek-orthodox children,but for all her minors.
Now,the reason that children of slavophone families would not be returned is easy to understand.
