there has to be much more to this story than we are being told. how does a homeless women have a gun? where did she get it? homeless usually means you have no means of support so i think if you had a gun it would have been sold. something tells me there is some kind of history between the two that's just waiting to come out...

There are a lot of homeless people who draw income checks, those checks however are not sufficient to support them in a household. The income will not pay rent and utilities as well as buy food. Also some homeless who draw checks choose to be homeless because they have some sort of habits, rather drug or alcohol and if they use the money to provide shelter then they have no money to support their habits... thus they choose the habit. It is not out of the realm of possibilities that a homeless person would be able to afford to buy a weapon, in fact a homeless person could probably buy one much easier and cheaper than a normal person because homeless people have their own little network and sell things among themselves when they need money. A weapon on the street would go cheaper and would not need to be registered ( of course legally it is suppose to be but from one homeless person to another who is going to monitor/require it?).

She's no longer homeless. Now that she is incarcerated, she has a bed, clothes, a roof over her head, food, medical & dental care. All courtesy of the tax payer.

My condolences to the family of the Pastor who was slain by this looney toon.

I'm guessing she felt the need to have a gun for protection on the street. There is a special corner in Hell for people like this - that kill an innocent person for no reason. I hope she goes there soon and enjoys the heat.

My condolences to the family & friends of the Pastor.

quite honestly i don't believe in heaven or hell or religion in general. religion is just another means of control. i do feel for the family over the loss of a loved one but there is more to this story than is presently being told...

This is locally covered in the Indianapolis Star. The homeless tag was from the Southport, IN police chief.

www.indystar.com

I read an IndyStar report this morning that a family member or neighbor claimed the woman isn't homeless per se, but does take off for days at a time, and is schizophrenic. One possibility is that the firearm does come from the family home.

I can't find that version now. The latest is that she is charged with murder and will be in court tomorrow morning.

More will be reported, and details added, by the Star I would imagine.

My bad, and apologize for confusing two stories I read earlier today -- one from the newspaper, and another from a TV station.

This is the reference I should have used before:

http://www.theindychannel.com/news/31091539/d...

"A man who identified himself as Barcroft's son told RTV6's Ebone Monet on Sunday that the family had tried for years to get mental help for his mother.

He said she is not homeless, as police previously indicated, but that she often wanders the streets for days. She had been missing for seven days before Saturday's shooting, he said.

The man, who declined to give his name, said he and other family members attend Bethel Community Church and that his heart goes out to Iseminger's family."

There is little doubt in my mind about there being more to the story than has been released. I guess we'll just have to wait for more to unfold.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Pisces

It's a big change today after yesterday's combustible atmosphere and you're feeling more relaxed and understanding. You're even prepared to forgive someone for what you thought yesterday was a heinous crime, and ready to give them a second chance. However, let's hope that this person deserves your goodwill and is grateful to receive it.
