What a bunch of convoluted (double talk) reflected in the PT piece. Police layoffs of over 200 cops will stablize patrol officers on the street..WTF does that mean..What is the difference between a Medical Technician on the FD ambulances.

Befoe long, Long Beach may go the way of Stockton, with no gas for the police and fire dept vehicles.
Long Beach is still paying for these comunity feel good events, like the big outdoor dance this weekend.

Read the article, and the odd remarks made by Mayor Foster as to what the people had become accustomed to.

More violence and disorder in Long Beach, less Police service. That makes sense. All the while, promoting LB as a great place to reside in and buy real estate. Remember the 21 reasons to buy in Long Beach that was recently publicized.

Long Beach must accept every cut in basic services and quality of life imaginable if we are to honor some of the most expensive publ empl compensation scams ever traded for campaign support by dishonorable, self serving politicians.
The Lowenthals et al didn't elect themselves. We all own the shame of doing this to the City at the ballot box.

Bob Foster and that real estate agent promoting LB are funny people. Speaking of Bob Foster, I always wonder what happened to Bob Big Boy but now he became the mayor of this sorry city. Anyway there was another shooting on 6th St in LB.

SPL, we cannot get too angry with the politicians. This is a representative democracy and that scares the shyte out of me.

Goodevening Morris - Just read where Class I crimes are up over 10% in LBC, which includes Murder, Robbery, Aggravated Assault .. how strange, since just a few months ago the PD was telling us that crime was in a marked downward trend. The Chief was quoted in the article that he was uncertain as to the consequences of Police Districts closing and the subsequent layoffs. The Mayor and his RE stoodge were extolling 21 reasons to buy a townhouse in this zone, the great walking zone of LB.

Well, the City is celebrating this good news by having a big outdoor dance this Sat evening, right in the heart of high crime LBC, beer garden included .. LOL

I'm noticing a new wave of ex cons walking the local streets. Also read about some strong arm robberies taking place in belmont shore. Never thought I'd see that day. Belmont shore is officially unsafe at night. Watch the fences surrounding the properties get higher. Looks like the early release program is doing it's thing, and Foster the Incompetent lacked the intelligence to foresee the problem, much less offer any rational solutions. His office term has been a complete failure, and well be paying for it long after he inhales his last stroke-inducing box of McRibs.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Sagittarius

You're wearing rose-tinted glasses today, especially when you look at some of the special people in your life. Right now you only want to see their good points and you'll deliberately turn a blind eye to any faults that might be on show. If you can escape from the real world for a day with you-know-who you'll have a marvelously romantic and emotional time together. But do your best to come back to earth tomorrow.
