So gun control laws existed when pro slavery laws existed.

Before the 20th century, cops could walk into any home and search it without a warrant (they still search homes without warrants).

All gun control articles written by liberals sound and look the same. This is because they all use the same propaganda and skewed statistics from the Brady Bunch. They are not copying each other, they are just using the same literature supplied to them by the Brady Lobbyist. It's not plagiarism if the original writers (liars) want them to copy it. Refusing to do their own research and copying verbatim from the "common sense" Brady Playbook doesn't make them plagiarists. It just makes them puppets.
