Does anybody know anything about this story at acandyrose about this “Apple computer repairman?” I stumbled on this a few days ago and felt compelled to run this by case followers. I have never seen this before now, but for whatever reasons was struck by it. Like a “ding” moment. May just be a “ding dong” moment, but is doesn’t cost to ask. The thing that caught my eye is the comment “I hope you enjoy your new daughter”. It was perceived as a threat and rightfully so. Based on my life’s experiences, this is somebody that is coming back, somebody that carries a lot of hostility, somebody you better keep an eye on. Not to mention his assault on a female employee at work, which is why he was fired. He had also been in the house in the Fall of 1996 to do some work on the Ramsey’s computer. How many days was he there? How was he let into the house? Was he given a key to get in because the Ramseys were out of pocket? Who was there with him while he was in the house? Was he told the alarming work? Had he made friends with the dog and knew that would not be a problem? Was he able to get some type of item written by Patsy to copy the handwriting? How old was he at the time? Was he a movie buff? This is somebody who is intelligent if he works on computers. Probably would not have a criminal record with a DNA profile in CODIS. I was reading through the “pbworks, Acquaintance Intruder Theories” in the “Individuals Seeking Revenge” section, Disgruntled Access Graphics Worker. After several years of following this case and thinking about it, just like most of you, I have lately began to think this was indeed a revenge murder. I have never been convinced this had anything to do with sex, as I stated recently. The jab with the paint brush handle, IMO, was a jab at JR. As I have stated recently, I think the note was addressed directly at JR, which explains the “practice note” that began with “Mr and Mrs Ramsey” was changed to “Mr Ramsey”. The ransom part of the note was used to put distance between the killer and the crime scene.“The note was totally ridiculous from the standpoint of having any credibility as a kidnap note,'' former FBI profiler Robert Ressler told The Associated Press. Police ``wasted effectively eight hours of crucial time in buying this kidnap note.'' BTW, that was my conclusion before I read this. IMO, the value of the note is not what’s written literally, but more what did the author know about the Ramseys. Terms like “that good southern common sense”,“ you’re not the only fat cat around”,”You will withdraw $118,000.00 from your account” are all things any employee would have known about JR. Jeff Merrick once stated that “he was going to bring John down“. Merrick was angry about being fired in 1996 because they could not justify his salary, yet John received a $118,000 bonus that year. If he was overheard saying “he was going to bring John down” then IMO, it is reasonable to believe others would have heard the reason,“$118,000 bonus that year”. Just the kind of thing somebody that was also angry would use as a reason to get back at JR. As indicated at the acandyrose site, this person was never investigated, DNA tested, or had his handwriting analyzed. The comment by this person “I hope you enjoy your new daughter” and his assault on a female employee, in my mind, make this individual a definite suspect. What do you think?

Excellent thinking on your part a name would be helpful.

Moon Jack wrote: Ken, a dummy could have written the note... He had the instructions to follow right in front of his eyes... Now go get a job at the pawn shop, and start filling in the instructions on the pawn ticket like the author of this murder did... Moon Jack oh make sure you add 3 past RN's, some agatha Christie, and some Clint Eastwood , and you can become a successful computer nutcase... Moon Jack. Hey little buddy I see your point but it wasn't a dummy who wrote that ransom note. Believe it or not thought went into that ransom note although experts have determined much information from that ransom note they still have no knowledge who exactly the writer was. That ransom note would have been broken down by profilers and you'd be amazed what information was extracted from it. Every piece of evidence tells the experts something about the mind of the person who committed the crime.

Every piece of evidence tells the experts something about the mind of the person who committed the crime. Funny you should mention the ransom note and profilers. I've put together quotes and observations by different profilers with how it could be connected to this person. From different profilers on the killer: “The murder could have been triggered by a crisis in the killer's life and the killer could have been venting anger, perhaps at Ramsey himself, according to the profile.” “A triggering event, such as a job crisis or crisis in a personal relationship may have caused the suspect to vent anger, perhaps at a female close to him, or perhaps at John Ramsey.” He was fired from Access. When? “The killer is someone who may have previously been in the Ramsey home.” He had indeed been there to work on the computer. The ransom note was written with a black felt-tip pen on lined paper reportedly from a tablet in the home. Containing directives and contingencies, it is overall a sophisticated letter written by an educated person, said Bethany Dumas, a University of Tennessee English linguistics professor who has testified several times as an expert witness. ``Like the comment,`We respect your business.' It's not important to get the job done, but somebody felt it was important to say,'' McCrary said.``Usually, it's `We've got your daughter and if you want to see her alive pay us.''' That line “We respect your business”, the killer worked for JR at his business. In addition, he said, the note ``reflects a person whose knowledge of kidnapping comes from movies and books.'' One line, in particular -``Don't try to grow a brain, John''- echoes a line spoken by actor Dennis Hopper in the movie ``Speed.'' “He may have quickly constructed an alibi for his whereabouts the night JonBenet was killed and may have repeated it several times to key individuals around him.” IMO, the ransom ruse and hiding of the body in the basement was used to give the killer distance between himself and the scene, possibly to accommodate his alibi. “JonBenet's killer may have been suffering from stress in the weeks and months preceding the crime.” Loosing one’s job is one of the most stress related events in life, especially under these circunstances.

Impressive and well put together this is getting into the very depth of what makes JonBenet's killer tick. If I recall correctly there was an open book left at the crime scene that made reference to incest correct me if I'm wrong. I'd like to hear a profiler's take on the significance involved. It tends to make me wonder if the killer was a product of incest. I have taken in each and every detail of your post Toots. You are extremely intelligent I get not so much the loss of a job. My thought is loss of a sister brother or a parent and not being able to accept it. That's where I'm at man.

I'm bumping up the thread of Jeff Merrick's comments about being thrown under the bus by Uncle Johnny. Too bad you weren't here just 2 weeks ago Ken. They were throwing another person, James Davie under the bus, not knowing his DNA had been in CODIS for years. That's what these posters do, as soon as their latest fraud gets discredited, they move on to the next.

You don't mess with the King of the iPods. 'Cause yours would be a body that would NEVER be found. The gelatin in your bones would probably end up in a new bumper case for the iPhone. Don't screw with Steve.

As per lack of information on this person at the acandyrose site, he more than likely has not been investigated. If he has post the information. He certainly should be if he's attacked a female employee and threated another baby. Should you ever find one of your children dead in your house and you were not guilty, the police are going to ask for a list of people you know and a list of employees at your business. You are going to spill your guts to the police about every person you know. That's not called "throwing people under the bus". It's called an investigation. Get it straight!

Just curious, I'd really like to know how the note indicates the writer is computer savvy? WV, the items I posted were from profiles that have already been put forth by criminologist and profilers. I only posted the items that were known through the information at acandyrose. This is the rest of the profile of the killer: The profile, which was drawn up by criminologists and other experts, suggests that the killer is someone who may have previously been in the Ramsey home and may have quickly constructed an alibi for his whereabouts. JonBenet's killer may have been suffering from stress in the weeks and months preceding the crime. A triggering event, such as a job crisis or crisis in a personal relationship may have caused the suspect to vent anger, perhaps at a female close to him, or perhaps at John Ramsey. The killer is someone who may have previously been in the Ramsey home. Since the murder, the killer may have intently read news reports and listened to talk radio shows dealing with the murder. He (the profile consistently describes the suspect as a male) may have increased consumption of alcohol or drugs. He may have turned to religion. He may be rigid, nervous and preoccupied. He may have tried to appear very cooperative with the authorities if he was contacted during the course of the police investigation. He may have quickly constructed an alibi for his whereabouts the night JonBenet was killed and may have repeated it several times to key individuals around him. There is another profile by some well respected profilers I will post. Like you, I am interested in what Ken has to say about his profile.

It is one thing to produce a lst of names when asked to 'produce a list of names of people you work with' or 'produce a list of names of your friends'. It is another thing entirely to produce a list of everyone you know when the question is 'do you know anyone who could have done this to your child'? tootlems wrote: <quoted text> Should you ever find one of your children dead in your house and you were not guilty, the police are going to ask for a list of people you know and a list of employees at your business. From Robert Ressler: If this theory is correct, then the killer would have to be someone who: •is familiar with the layout of the house. •knows the Ramseys personally enough to know that John Ramsey received a bonus of $118,000. •is small enough to have gained entry via a narrow basement window and possibly exited the same way. •was confident enough to spend the time to not only commit the offense, but to have the presence of mind to write a long note in an attempt to draw suspicion away from himself. Former FBI agent and expert criminal profiler, Robert Ressler believes that: •JonBenet knew her killer •the killer could have come from a small circle of friends around the Ramsey home in Boulder •the circle would include family, neighbors, and employees of the Ramseys.

Yeah, I'm just curious about the comment that the ransom note indicates that the writer is computer savvy, to me that's interesting.. of course, the RDI part of my brain won't let me forget that Access Graphics was a computer company, so ANYONE there would probably be computer 'savvy'- of course this Apple guy could be too. I'd like to know more about who said what in the way of clearing him, but at any rate, I don't think I've really talked about this aspect of the ransom note, and nothing jumps out from memory about it, I guess I should go and reread the thing.. Anyway, it's an interesting topic.
