The pineapple in the small intestines is very powerful evidence against the Ramsey family. It cannot be disputed, and it is a fact that JB ate the pineapple between 30 minutes and 120 minutes of her death. Fleet White stated that pineapple was not served at his house where they had dinner. The autopsy report states that JB's stomach was relatively empty, and the pineapple was in the small intestines. She ate only a couple of pieces, and the pineapple in the dining area was NOT canned pineapple, which makes the fruit well out of season in the northern hemisphere of this planet. Even Lou Smit concedes to the fact that JB ate the pineapple in the Ramsey home after they returned from the White's home, but instead of looking at the evidence, he stuck with his intruder theory stating that there was a bowl of tupperware in JB's bedroom that could have had the piece or two of pineapple. That bowl was never recovered. The pineapple in the intestine evidence throws a major stumbling block as far as an intruder and the timeline between 10PM of 12/25/96 and about 5AM 12/27/96. The hours and minutes do not add up for an intruder even if the phantom intruder was in the home before the Ramsey's return. CC

One of the greatest contributions by a poster to this case in years, a medical imaging technologist with 40 years of experience. The bottom line, given the rate of digestion and where the UNDIGESTED FRESH pineapple was in JonBenet's digestive system, JonBenet was under attack leading to her death within 20-30 minutes MAXIMUM after eating a few chunks of fresh pineapple left in a bowl on the breakfast table of the Ramsey home and found by the police the next morning still on the table, never refrigerated.

Which leads me to believe that if JB was awakened by someone she knew and was friendly with, it could be that she went willingly downstairs with him and it was SHE who suggested the pineapple snack for herself and the tea for the intruder, considering she could have known the intruder was fond of iced tea. The strange table settings can be indicative of how a child would go about "serving" a Midnight visitor. And it's possible she could have been lured to the basement very shortly thereafter on some pretext and the crime took place within the time frame allotted by learnin. JMO

You will be hard pressed to find anyone who isn't RDI who will believe that because then they would have to admit that she was not in fact sleeping when they got home Just like Burke said

Great post, and I agree. Non-RDIs tend to want "too much - too many ways" which makes their theories so fragmented they are no longer plausible. The post I just made (#696, I think) applies to this post as well. Which is the reason why the BPD bungled the case from the beginning. Nothing is ever what it appears on the surface to be, especially a murder that is so complicated and involved as THIS one. Had the BPD recognized their inability and/or inexperience to handle a case of this magnitude, they would have called for outside help from the get-go. But instead, they stubbornly resisted taking the tac that they were perfectly capable of solving the crime. That decision, IMO, was the beginning of the JonBenet Ramsey Murder Case Fiasco. Or, perhaps I should say the "Continuing" of it, since from the time the first officer appeared on the scene, it was obvious the BPD was ill prepared to handle the case. It was beyond their expertise and they were too pompous to admit it.

fascinating case. i wonder why it happened. what was the motive. iam pretty sure there was no intruder, as it just does not seem plausible. i always believed the ramsays killed jon benet, then staged the scene.
