Hi RT It's horrifying that they don't arrest these parents. If they gave the child a beer to calm their nerves, they would be arrested in a heartbeat, but to give a child a drink that is obviously meant for NOT children, it goes on a reality TV show and they are highlighted. These are abusive parents and there is no getting around that. To exploit these kids in all the ways we actually get to watch on TV is horrifying and disgusting. It reminds me of the movie The Running Man. Our society has not evolved as much as we would like to think

They get away with it because it's not against the law to feed your child sugar..no matter how much. They back a dump truck of sugar into every can! Unfortunately, there are no parenting laws. Just as long as you don't spank them, you can pretty much ruin them in any way you choose.

All those pimp parents out there, get a look at the ghost of the future for your kid: ET did a good thing tonight by publishing this SHOCKING photo of former child star Macauley Culkin: http://www.etonline.com/news/118844_Exclusive... This is NOT normal looking for a 31 year old YOUNG man, no matter how frantically Mac's PR people are trying to spin this. Mac was as big a star as a kid could be. He had to divorce his greedy, alcoholic parents in 1996. Like most child stars, his career was over after he became a teenager. He was NEVER flashy or attention seeking like Lindsay Lohan, et. al. It's been said that he mostly smokes pot and watches TV all day, he can't go anywhere without being swarmed with people wanting autographs, etc. This kid is not healthy, and I hope and pray he's not the latest young star to crash and burn.

I once watched Culkin on a British chat show where audience members had brought things they had made as kids (wonky spice racks etc). I hahve seen few things as poignant as the wistful way he was looking at these sweet relics of normal childhood. WRT JonBenet and the pageants, I have recently been thinking about how Patsy famously spoke about bringing a spare dress for any little girl who might be humiliated by her own poor attire at the pageants. You'd think that sort of sensitivity would have extended to making sure her daughter wasn't humiliated by poor hygiene and an inability to wipe her own bum. Kids are ruthless in their mockery - especially when anything 'stinky' or dirty is involved. Was it just laziness on Patsy's part? Certainly, her inability to housetrain Jacques and her impatience with him suggests the latter: Bichons are hugely intelligent, trainable dogs.

Here's the story of a poor little girl put in a tanning booth by her mother. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504083_162-574259... She may be arrested, I hope so, hope they'll go after the spray tanning parents too. The face of child abuse has changed from using a buggy whip or rug beater and it's time the law catch up.

The little girl is a fair skinned red head too, thought to be more susceptable to UV damage.

I heard this on the news and the mother is denying that the little girl was ever subjected to the tanning. Is it a fact that she did that or is it just speculation? I'm truly asking because I just don't know. I missed the full story on the news Also, is this little girl involved in the pageants? If it is true, pageants or not, hopefully the mother will face charges for the CRIME she has committed by subjecting this child to that. Like with most of the pageant moms we see, they all should be arrested IMO for this practice, but that is a different topic altogether :) My opinions on the pageants are well known and the parents that are involved in the shows like toddlers and tiaras should all have their kids taken away from them and they all should face charges, but again, I feel very strongly about those things.

Mom is all leather skinned and looks older than her years, looks grotesque, addicted to tanning. Child was sent to the school nurse because she was sunburned and told the nurse what happened, mom is denying it. Jonbenet's school nurse in Colorado likely has some tales to tell too.

Yes, mom has a real tanning problem; more like an addiction to the tanning salons. It's actually quite common as it turns out. If this little girl was burned by the tanning booth, I hope the mom gets the needed counseling and correction that is needed for the sake of this little girl It's really a shame when children have to be afraid of harm coming to them from their own parent/s

Tanning Mom is claiming the sunburn was from gardening. Huh? Then she wouldn't have needed to visit the tanning salon herself. I hope their yard is checked for evidence of 'gardening'. Tanning mom does not look like the gardening type. Sounds like Patsy Ramsey's claim Jonbenet's hair 'turned' platinum blond in the dead of winter from the Michigan sun.

She needs a toga and an olive leaf headband;)
