I think it is to kill the witness from IDing them to police, but I have heard there are psychological reasons motivating pedophiles to kill there victims.
What is interesting is that many have argued that if JonBenet was killed by a pedophile, why didn't he remove her from the house where he could spend his time with her with out being bothered.
But if you look at the most recent case of Somer Thompson and many others, the young victim is often killed right after the sexual assault.
So apparently pedophiles are not afraid to take their window of opportunity and grab a child and take her a short distance to rape and kill them.
So I guess the point I am trying to make is that pedophiles could take their victims somewhere to hold them captive as slaves like Jaycee Lee Dugard, but many case examples shows plenty of examples of impulsive rape once and kill right after just a short distances from where the child was abducted.
Abducting a child in broad daylight off a street and taking her a 100ft to a vacant house to rape and then kill her is not much different then abducting a child from her bedroom while everyone is asleep and taking her a 100ft to a remote basement cellar to rape and then kill her.

I think the crime was either about child pornography or it was a sadistic pedophile who had no where to take her. Therefore the crime had to be done in the house. I think it is a very disturbed person who had been doing this for a very long time.

If he'd been doing this for a very long time, then why did he suddenly have no place to take her to?
Now, I'll say, I don't go along with the scenario that John Ramsey was molesting his daughter and Patsy caught him at it. Why on earth would JR molest his daughter on Christmas night, with Burke and Patsy both there, and when they were planning on getting up at 5:30 the next morning? That would make no sense, either.
But it does seem someone was molesting this little girl before she was murdered. Days before, possibly weeks and months before.

It is true -- JonBenet was at risk of dying from cancer. Her mother died from a genetically-inherited form of cancer. Her paternal grandmother died of cancer. Her maternal grandmother died at the too-young age of 68 (just two years older than John Ramsey is now!) from diabetes, after having suffered from crippling arthritis and diabetic amputation. Patsy knew her only daughter was at great risk of suffering from a wide array of devasting diseases as she got older, and Patsy also knew that at a time in JonBenet's life when she would need her mother by her side, Patsy would not be present to support her.
Why kill JonBenet at the age of six, on Christmas Day? JonBenet was still innocent enough to believe there was a Santa Claus, but more importantly, she was still young enough to believe wholeheartedly in God and Jesus. The words which left John Ramsey's lips on December 26th ("There is no God") would never leave JonBenet's lips if she died before she became old enough to learn about the concept of doubt, whether of Santa or of God. No wonder the word "purity" was so important for the Ramseys to put on her grave.
