I'm not gonna pretend I know anything about handwriting analysis so I'm not gonna go into who I think wrote the note. But remove said Ransom Note from this entire scenario and John and Patsy would have left that house in handcuffs. Kind of a juvenile type of deception but effective nonetheless.

You don't have to be an expert to get a sense how phony it is and how the one who studied Pat's writing style may have given it her best shot. Just take the letter a, each of them from the rn, and each letter g, and examine them for a few minutes. Not one of them is consistent with the others, try as she might. It is kind of fun. "Similarities" is not the only criteria. Pressure is important among other characteristics. W/o the original, that quality can be tough to detect as well as others. But, just look at how the imposter made her letters a and g. If you have "paint," download the rn images, put them on paint and edit those letters onto another blank form. See what you get.

I agree. It looks very much like Patsy Ramseys handwriting.

You may be right. Take the ransom note out of the scene and what would be left? A dead little girl with a head wound, and a cord around her neck. Anybody who wanted to frame Patsy Ramsey would have just had to leave it like that. John and Patsy would have been suspected.

It has to look like her writing in order to say it looks like her writing.

Similarity of pressure would be a similarity. Unfortunately, with a felt tip pen, pressure can't be examined the way it can be with a ball point pen, so that's not important. Using a felt tip pen, the pressure would show up more in the width of the lines themselves and a good first generation copy would give some insight there. The exemplar would also have to be written with a similar writing instrument. Do you know if that is the case? And do you know if your mario paint program is producing a quality reproduction? Also, it's not very useful to base your opinion on two letters only. You have to look at all of it, and have un- rehearsed writing samples to compare it to.

Eva wrote: "hm..I'm basing it on the same thing you are when you say someone studied Patsy's writing. It has to look like her writing in order to say it looks like her writing." Is that right? "A dead little girl with a head wound, and a cord around her neck. Anybody who wanted to frame Patsy Ramsey would have just had to leave it like that. John and Patsy would have been suspected." Oh Dolly, you have the same problem you've had from the beginning. Only, it is not a problem to you, at all. That's why you are never going to catch on. That is why you have no concept what happened and why and who murdered this child. But, if it keeps you busy Is that right? You ask. Yes it is right. To say someone studied the note to make it look like Patsy Ramsey's handwriting is to say it looks like her writing. Either it looks like it, or it doesn't. What is your opinion? Does it or doesn't it? Inquiring minds want to know.

Can you not discuss a topic without making it a personal thing? One or two letters is not all you need. Find any handwriting expert to say that, and people will think he is a fraud. I'll try this again. Does the ransom note, in your opinion, look like Patsy Ramsey's handwriting, or not?

You write: "Disguising one's handwriting and failing to accomplish the task is distinguishable from trying to imitate someone's handwriting, darling. but, you should know that. see if you can guess what it is." I don't see any need to guess, Eva, since you seem to have something in mind here, not me. Do you not want to say what it is? If you do, say what it is rather than be coy and sarcastic. Readers can judge if you are on target or off base and I like to see different opinions. As for the sarcastic terms of endearment, that is a tactic used by people who want to pick a fight rather than discuss the case. What is your purpose in speaking to me like that?

Eva, if you look at Patsy's writing samples, there is one with individual words from the ransom note. She had to write them three times. The same thing happens there. None of the words or letters look exactly the same. Writing is variable, naturally. That is why looking at two letters only does not work. The longer the sample, the easier it becomes to see similarities and differences. Look at your own writing and you will see variations in letter formations, too.

I will also add that a person's handwriting will change over time. My handwriting is far different than it was 20 years ago when I took time to write neatly. Now I hurry and sign my name so that it's almost unreadable. When we are younger we tend to write slowly and neatly. I don't understand why the RDI's continue to say the note looks like Patsy's handwriting when Chris Wolf and JMK's writing is so much more like it. Keep in mind that their handwritings were never compared against Patsys back then. If they had been the outcome would have been far different. Patsy was never declared to be the writer of the note, they said that she could not be eliminated. That would probably include a billion other people too.

PAT WASN'T TRYING TO DISGUISE HER HANDWRITING. That is clear. No one refers to family secrets while diverting attention from oneself. No one murders her child, sits down to a glass of wine, kicks her shoes off and writes a fantasy ransom note, throws some make-up on, calls the cops threatening death if she does and wails like a hyena, when she loved the child deeply. That happens in Broomer's dreams. THAT IS THE MOST RIDICULOUS THING EVER IMAGINED. But, typical of the R haters. Everything fits if you can accept Pat was a devious, brilliant, retarded monster one moment, loving mother the next, a combination of all any time she wished or felt kind of out-of-sorts, and everyone around her had no idea she had 17 different personalities. In hindsight, doctors of lunacy and garbagey nonsense, discovered all kinds of hidden disorders from which she suffered, or profited, depending on the doctor's demented state of mind. We know Broomer self-diagnosed with a rare desire to be superior to all others, but was even more afflicted with temper-tantrumitus when everyone thought she was nuttier than Pat.

She also hated the child deeply, transfering her self loathing to the object. And she composed the rn months and maybe years before she wrote it down.
