That's in direct contradiction to the story of GPP's gun under the cushion. Now Ramsey remembers his brother called and said FW had a gun in his house? Boy, quite a memory for an incident he claimed never happened!
Love too how JR's never actually present but 'hears about' things from friends. If IDI can't see what a liar this guy is, then they're purposely blind.
And yet, you know nothing but excuses will be made for them.
I don't understand that. Why would anyone choose to be "purposely blind" about them?

I don't have the transcripts handy but I did want to point out, also, the usage of some phrases the Ramseys have used that indicate they have watched "crime" movies and/or read books of that type and would know some of the terminology from them to write the RN, trying to sound like they thought a kidnapper would sound like.
Those phrases would be:

JR: "An inside job." "The worm has turned."

PR: Made a reference to "sending someone up the river."

They've also used many words in the ransom note, such as "scanned" and "scrutiny."

They had Ramnesia, but you must realize that it was very selective :)

With all the talk of FW's behavior, John still denied that he and FW had any confrontation. As much as they wanted to throw the Whites under the bus, had he been forced to elaborate on that confrontation, he would have to reveal what the argument consisted of and that was not going to look good for him

That would explain the various "accounts" of the non incident LOL

There are none so blind....

The Ramseys didn't need movies when real life was at their front door. There is Leopold and Loeb exhibit at the Train Depot Museum within walking distance of their Michigan home.

And that's why JR got married at Loebs parents and his former summer home recently.
I guess he just thought it would be a "kick" to get married at the former home of a former kidnapper/murderer.
Most "normal" people would shy away from something with so much notoriety. Something that should remind them so much of the circumstances of their own daughters death.
Not John Ramsey. ;(

Just like he and Patsy were so fond of the phrase "lynch mob." Freudian slips? Yeah. I think so.

The Ramseys lived in Georgia during the crimes and trial for the Atlanta child kidnapping and killing spree. The news coverage was intense so they picked up tidbits from that experience too.

It's not been referenced but if you look deep enough there is probably a link to O'Henry's iconic American tale The Ransom of Red Chief.

Under this unusual Lunar Cycle, you have to do some serious thinking about someone you love.
