I was looking for pictures of the Ramsey's refrigerator to see if it had a type of latch that JB wouldn't be able to open. So I Googled "JonBenet Ramsey kitchen photo" One of the links had several pictures of JB. I clicked on that link & hundreds of pages of photos came up. I started scrolling through the pages of photos when one photo caught my eye. That photo's caption (like most of the photos) was titled JonBenet Ramsey. Whether or not this IS a picture of JB, it's very disturbing to me. Here is the link.

Why would anyone allow their young daughters to be photographed in such a sexual manor?

I'm pretty sure that's not JB. It's a kid dressed up to look like Gwen Stefani and the other little girl is supposed to represent Beyonce. I agree, it's shameful to allow little girls to dress like that. The video of JB dressed in the Las Vegas showgirl outfit is bad enough, but when you take note of the seductive, "come hither" looks she gave the judges and how she walked, it's appalling someone would coach her to act like that.

I have a photo of the Ramseys' refrigerator, by the way. I'll try to post it some where so you can see it.

Because pageants meant more to them than their kid, I guess.

At the time, I never really thought that the pageants were all that bad since in the south beauty contests have been the norm for generations. But after watching what goes on at current children's pageants (I think they're shown on TLC on Wednesday nights), I think they're deplorable. The moms pushing their little babies into being sex objects and playing up to all the sexual moves is disgusting! Some of these moms should be cited for child abuse. At the least, they're instilling the wrong values in their children. I have to admire John for one thing at least. And that was he said he tried to impress on JonBenet that it was the talent part that was the most important part!

I agree that child pageants are abusive, for the most part.

I don't necessarily admire John for impressing upon JonBenet that the talent part is the most importnat part. That part is 50% of the score. Patsy impressed that upon JB, too. I think it was Pam talking about the pageants who said that.

At any rate, pageants are teaching kids from a VERY young age that life is about the externals, about making yourself sexually attractive to a man. And didn't Nedra impress that upon her daughters? "All you have to give to a man is your body," she told Patsy, and "Never go out without your makeup." What a terrible mom Nedra was!

Yes, Nedra was a good example of the "Pageant Queen Mom". Her values were in a scramble; in fact, she had no values that could be considered "high".

What mattered most to her was looks and sex appeal. I wonder what Don Paugh saw in her?

Patsy couldn't sing, dance or play an instrument. Talent? Dramatic recitation? Most important?

And posting your pics on crime forums, bad!

She won the talent competition with that dramatic reading.

Let's see. Last time I checked, Angelina Jolie, Reese Witherspoon, et al. could not sing or dance or play an instrument, but they were getting paid tens of millions to act in ONE picture. So apparently "dramatic recitations" are pretty important to some people.

I don't know enough about Don Paugh to give a truly informed opinion about him, Capricorn, but right now, I think Nedra sexualized her daughters more than their father did. The same way Patsy was sexualizing JB. JMO, too.

Yep, but remember the husbands are the ones who allowed the lady folk to sexualize their daughters...now, one of two things.
The lady folk were calling the shots or the men folk kinda liked it...Just my opinion.
I couldn't have stood to see my little girl dressed up suggestively like I saw JBR. Wouldn't have happened on my watch....

I'm not a guy, but I know if I had a little girl, I would NEVER dress her in a seductive manner, and I don't think my husband would allow it, either. I was appalled when I saw the suggestive and seductive looks JB would give the pageant judges.

Nedra claimed the pageant circuit was the way she "helped" her daughters to find wealthy husbands or those likely to become wealthy. That's why she said she pushed them into pageants. I think for Patsy, though, it was more than that. I don't think she was thinking of JB's future husband, but reliving her life through JB, which is not healthy at all.

I also think that Patsy was living her life through JonBenet. I see it often in the sports around my hometown.

Do you mean things like soccer moms, cheerleaders?

It was so unhealthy for Patsy to try to live through JB. As JB got older, naturally she was going to go her own way more and more. Away from Patsy, not toward.

Here in Oklahoma I see it especially in football....starting with peewee baby boys..."hit someone, hit em hard" ....ughh. I just shudder. I do like to watch football, but not seeing my son get hit. It is such an aggressive sport and all of my kids are in a sport and it gets so political most the time. The fun is removed for the kids.

Oh, teaching the boys to be aggressive and that it's okay to hit. Yes, I agree. That's a problem.

These exploited girls from the sorry pageant world, made to look sexualized and older than their years are on the cover of an Art magazine, Artillery magazine this month:
