"ICE, though, defended its operations Thursday evening -- noting, as it often does, that the agency is only funded to remove roughly 400,000 people a year and has to prioritize." How about using that over $600 million that you have set aside to give amnesty to illegal alien "kids" who are under 30?

Those of us working and contributing should be allowed amnesty.

Those of us working and contributing should be allowed amnesty. this means you're gone, your crimes: illegally here, refusing to pay income taxes, owning a gun without legal permit, driving without a license/insurance and possibly buying & producing fake documents when required by law to show them, working as unlicensed electrician, accepting cash only for work performed to avoid paying taxes. Who knows what else, if they dig around the list could go on endlessly. So good riddance. I'm sure your boss could replace you with another illegal starting at 10 pr hr. if your boss himself doesn't end up getting deported himself for paying his workers with CASH, and hiring only illegals and bribing the state inspector!

If I were given citizenship I would be a very good citizen. I came here as an infant and had nothing to do with my parents coming here. I grew up and went to school in San Antonio. I work hard each and every day. I could be on a street corner selling dope, but that's just not me. The undocumented worker will someday be accepted as a citizen of the USA.

If you were really patriotic and loved this country unconditionally you would've corrected your status right after high school.....serving in one of the service branches thus you would've earned citizenship right away upon completing your 3-4 years, plus you would've earned college tuition aid, house buying benefits and what have you.......BUT YOU BLEW IT! For the illegals to EVER JUST BE HANDED CITIZENSHIP with NO PATRIOTIC LOYALTY.....YOU WOULD HAVE TO KILL OUR DEMOCRACY and TEAR UP OUR CONSTITUTION and REPLACE IT along with a new government (REGEIM, DICTATOR) which will NEVER HAPPEN. I assure you every American, men, women and child would fight to the end.....we all have something to contribute IN THE FACE OF AGGRESSION and we are more prepared for this than one would allow it be known. Should it ever come to this and illegals want to stand with the US AND HELP FIGHT THE AGRRESSORS, and not run back to mexico.....then I would think you might deserve residence as a tryout and work your way to citizenship. BUT NO ONE JUST GETS CITIZENSHIP....WITHOUT EARNING IT, legitimately.

Maybe someday I'll be the exception. I could have went in the US military but didn't want to get involved with a war, america is always in a war with someone. They try to be the worlds policeman. America is one of the most hate countries in the world. I look at it as a country that has plenty of work, good pay, and benefits for our children born here.

You'll never be the exception....why should we bend the rules for someone who doesn't want to pay his taxes and who IS ONLY HERE FOR HIS OWN GREEDY SELF TO BENEFIT HIMSELF ONLY?????? You will never qualify as a citizen feeling the way you do about this country.

Not too many black people can afford to pay that much for a house. My work skills help keep the new home prices low.
