Candidate Logue says he is not a racist, but with his characterization of illegal ommogrants, all I can say is if it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck, in this case, its probably not somebody with a Spanish surname. I wont be voting for an alarmist like Logue. For once, I actually agree with Councilman Culleton. The problem here is NAFTA, and the "off-shoring" of American jobs. That, the economy, and Iraq are the three most important campaign issues.

Most citizens would disagree with you.

You need to spend some time doing research.

"Indyeast", are you talking to me or "arcamedes"? Not real clear. If me, let me just say that most Californians would agree with me; I don't need to do research to know that. If you did any research and open-minded thinking, you would understand my illusions to NAFTA and the economy. And, you've heard we're in a war over oil in the Middle East, haven't you? Bone up on that topic, dude (or dudess). The silly "surge" hasn't worked, nor will it ever. It's like Vietnam all over again, and might end up being even worse.

Since NAFTA, the United States has flooded the Mexican food market with corn and other commodities. The cheap prices starve out the poor Mexican peasnts--who then come here. If we (the US) were not complicit in making lioves miserable south of the border, flooding markets and opening sweatshops right across the border--Logue's arguments might make some sense. However, we've destroyed their economy to help ours. The Europeans solved Spanish and Italian immigration to North Europe by helping their neighbors to the south. Just how pwerful is EU and the Euro now?
We need to build bridges, not fences. The fence is a billion dollar boondoggle that immigrants get around anyway, as they will get around your Minutemen. Furthermore, the fence is not fair--if you're a millionaire with a golf course, the fence won't touch you--if you are an average citizen, it will cut right through your land--there are about 30 law sutis pending now. And what about the environment? Several lawsuits there too because it destroys migration routes of animals. It's not just for humanitarian reason that the fence and "border security" should be opposed, but for practical economic ones, as I've mentioned. Stop NAFTA, and begin to build bridges, and we will then, and only then, solve the immigration problem.

You should go over and straiten up the situation. Scared huh then you better back the soldiers, seems to me that if the fight comes home we will have to defend ourselves as well as you.

Simcox is a fraud. He takes donations without full acountability. He promised and took in millions in donations to build a wall, and built a 5 strand barbed wire fence, 10 miles of it. He refuses to meet with national news media to discuss why he terminated 19 Minutemen for requesting to meet with him over finances. He refuses to meet with national media about his Minuteman Fence. Simcox loves to claim that becuase he filled out a 990 tax form, that he shows where the money is......but he fails to show ALL the money. Simcox takes in millions of $ in donations, says he will do one thing, and never does it. Ask him why he took a $100K donation from a single donor for his Minuteman Fence, and then only showed $87K in a tax filing to the governement. Then ask him to provide you with a copy of the MCDC By Laws that he runs around terminating Minutemen for disagreeing with him, or asking questions.

Sounds to me like Ed Schilling has the best idea of the whole group. Extending a helping hand will do so much more than trying to keep people out. Did anyone ever think that if we do something to fix the situation down there, maybe there won't be so many people wanting to come here?

Mexico is the fifth-largest petroleum producer in the world;the poverty in that country is due to the political structure, not NAFTA.An entrenched oligarchy controls the wealth of Mexico, and this political system uses migration to the U.S. as a 'safety valve' to prevent an uprising of the peasant classes.
A fraction of the oil proceeds could be utilized for a basic educational system that would lift millions of peasants out of poverty. The mantra of the Catholic church to 'breed often & early'guarantees continued poverty.

I was speaking to you. Alarmist is what you called this guy. You do not think the illegal invasion is a problem....therefore,you have to do much more research.

Start looking at the invasion of the USA on youtube. Video speaks much louder than words.

Ever heard of Aztlan?.
http://www.youtube.com/watch...

How about declaring war on the USA and no one says anything?
http://www.youtube.com/watch...
About 1/2 way through he speaks of having an army ready.

I disagree with the war in the middle east. However, recent evidence points to the need for ALL countries to come together and stop the al Qaeda that are beheading children.

Wonder if someone can just have their own opinion
anymore without giving a bunch of links???. All a
link your referring to is someone else's opinion.
And who knows, their opinion might be filled with
propaganda plus. If you want a link go look it up
yourself, maybe some don't want a debate and just
have an opinion on how they feel. Why do some feel
everyone has to justify everything they say with a stupid link, who cares???.

Dan Logue (candidate for Assembly) appears to be "right on the money" when he talks about the top priorities relating to ILLEGAL immigration - secure our borders, enforce the law to protect law abiding citizens, and follow the successful efforts of other states. He seems to really understand what needs to be done and is committed to doing it.
