Tougher penalties offered in House

Full story: Kentucky.com

“We've got some concerns about the bill, and we have to talk to Rep. Damron about those”

Illegal immigrants could be prosecuted on felony charges, their employers could be stripped of business licenses and city governments would be required to enforce federal immigration law regardless of local sentiment, under a bill to be discussed Wednesday by the House Judiciary Committee in Frankfort.

House Bill 304 is not expected to get a vote Wednesday, but its sponsor said the General Assembly ought to pass it quickly.

'God help us if we don't pass something,' said Rep. Bob Damron, D-Nicholasville. 'If all the states around us pass some sort of immigration laws and we don't, well, talk about your 'sanctuary cities.'' Read more

It's about time the democrats punish people committing federal crimes.
Once an immigrant illegally enters this country, they have broken federal laws.
I'm so sick of people wrongly comparing illegal immigration with legal immigration.
Employers should be arrested for aiding illegal immigrants - who by the nature of entering this country illegally have broken federal laws

I have notice the different in Lexington culture/communities are changing for the worst. gang activities, murders, over whelming and over crowding of shelters. Lexington use to be a proud city, rich in history. This has become the wrong melting pot. If something is not done now!!!!!. There may be no return. What state/city decided that we cannot have this, and ran these immigrant out, where did they run right for Kentucky. They investigated and saw that Kentucky was an easy target. So they spreaded the word to the others. So see what you have now. Abeautiful city that is about to slowly deteriorate in God's knows what.

I pray that this bill is acted upon fast. all the busineds listen to heed, because Lexington refuse to be HogWashed, and Shamed
