Somehow, the argument that illegal aliens need their cars to get to work really doesn't cut it. Illegal aliens are also breaking the law by working illegally, so enabling them to do so might be considered "aiding and abetting" illegal immigration, a federal crime.

Since the Federal government won't do thier job and secure our borders and enforce immigration laws, I guess it's up to State and Local government to figure out ways to make it too incoveniant for them to stay.
We need more of our local peaople working on this.
Let them all move to LA and NY where they have all this public transportation at thier disposal.

The correct legal term is illegal alien; the Dispatch has an agenda to push.

Many legal foriegn residents have cars; if you are not doing something illegal it is not a problem.

About time they are run off the streets. I had an illegal alien hit my Jeep after they ran a red light. No DL or insurance. I got the bill, they got to drive away. What a Joke.
As far as Ana Perales-Lang saying it affect children how are legal citizens.....so what! The parents made the choice to break the law, so they must deal with the fall out. The anchor baby law needs to be changed next!

Well when the illegals go home, many jobs will open up for those unemployed legal american citizens who need jobs but can't find one because they have taken all the jobs! Perhaps maybe even our public welfare expenditures will go down too, since a lot of them are on welfare and do drive cars!

See how easy it is to control illegal immigration? No need to round up anybody. All you have to do is enforce some current laws and people will leave.

I hope our state officials don't give up and succumb to the pressures of some hispanic groups to change the law or not enforce it. I read somewhere that these hispanic groups will file a lawsuit because what our officials are doing is "unconstitutional". Not sure how the come up with that but it is ovbiuosly a measure to put pressure. Let's see what our officials are made of and see if they protect our laws and do the will of the majority.

Become Citizens or leave the United States. Don't want to abide by the rules that Americans must endure, then leave. It would be the same for anyone living off the system in any country. If illegals don't like it, go elsewhere.

A "isolated by a language barrier" NO community can function without clear COMMUNICATION.
One of the reasons for CONTROLLED IMMIGRATION is to maintain the society.
Illegal imigrants create the problem. Then an "anchor baby" is born and the "problem" becomes bigger.

The U.S. citizens can NO LONGER sustain this cycle through taxes.

Ms. Perales-Lang says that the policy affects many more people than the illegals having the car. She mentions the children of these illegals who, by being born here, are U.S. citizens. If the illegals choose to illegally be here, driving their cars, registered illegally, then maybe they do need to leave. If that means that they have to take their U.S. born children with them when they go back home, then so be it. These children will have the oportunity to return when they come of age, since they are citizens, by being born here. We should not allow the parents, who entered illegally, to remain. There are many people in other countries that would like to immigrate to the U.S., but they follow the law and wait or do not come here. Just because you arrived here doesn't mean you have the right to stay when you did not follow the letter of the law to get here. Why is it we never hear of any Canadians being here illegally since they have so much more border to crass than the Mexican border, is it that they blend in better.

I think the issue of illegal immigrants is absurd, they are in our country "unlawfully" might I remind you. We are so worried about terrorism and securing our boarders so people can not come into the US without proper authorization, yet were going to worry about how a police that will insure the "legal citizens" of the US are protected might effect "illegal immigrants". I must be missing something here but I thought our laws and policies were put into place with the best interest of the US citizens in mind. If there "illegal immigrant" they should not be here.
My family came here two generations ago trying to find a better life but we came here legally and went through the proper channels to do so.
