I don't understand how two completely different surveys can be combined to come to this conclusion. The ACS assess the state of local communities but doesn't ask any questions regarding citizenship. The CPS does ask about country of origin but again doesn't ask about citizenship status. Furthermore, the CPS's objective is to gauge the US labor market and not social issues. And, the sample size is too small (about .02%) to extrapolate to the entire US population.

But then, as is said, there are lies, dammed lies, and statistics.
