Louisiana Hurricane History Demonstrates Need to Prepare For Upcoming Season

Sixteen hurricanes and six tropical storms since 1956, which resulted in federal disaster declarations, serve as reminders to Louisianans that now is the time to prepare for the upcoming hurricane season.

It's always a good idea for people living near the Gulf Coast to be prepared ahead of time. We prepare year round so we do not get caught looking at empty store shelves.
