Heck, you don't know about any of the shoptalk but you come in to Topix to lie, twist, and misrepresent.
You can't even place quotation marks properly. Again, this alleged pre-publication draft paper may never see the daylight in a science journal. Is that why you started calling it a draft report? Read my post before this one.

Mothra wrote: <quoted text> See my previous post on "alleged". btw, I didn't say it was a 'draft'- the author did. Is it reading or comprehension that's your problem? That's your problem plus you don't know the difference between a report and a paper. As to alleged, it's an alleged pre-publication draft paper. But you don't get it. It's alright. There are many many things you don't understand like journal papers, reports, quotation marks, peer reviews, etc.

Keep on spinning, twisting and digging up minutia. Half a day and 60 posts later you're still playing word games, and not addressing the contents from the link I gave you.(I dare not call it a report, since that would likely get you rambling again.) I trust eventually you'll say something of consequence, but that won't be a while yet as I'm sure you've got a few more obfuscations handy.

Staying below 2°C (3.6°F) will take urgent, deep and long-lasting cuts in fossil fuel use, and active preservation of the world’s forests. 4. This is at heart a political problem, not a scientific one."

As to alleged, it's an alleged pre-publication draft paper. It was good enough for Muller, but not for Watts? I know that is prior to acceptance, but in the tradition that I grew up in (under Nobel Laureate Luis Alvarez) we always widely distributed “preprints” of papers prior to their publication or even submission. That guaranteed a much wider peer review than we obtained from mere referees. Richard Muller

October 20, 2011 "The Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature project puts PR before peer review A real scientist would be embarrassed by the Berkeley PR project Rat is trumpeting. - Readers may recall this post last week where I complained about being put in a uncomfortable quandary by an author of a new paper. Despite that, I chose to honor the confidentiality request of the author Dr. Richard Muller, even though I knew that behind the scenes, they were planning a media blitz to MSM outlets. In the past few days I have been contacted by James Astill of the Economist, Ian Sample of the Guardian, and Leslie Kaufman of the New York Times. They have all contacted me regarding the release of papers from BEST today. There’s only one problem: Not one of the BEST papers have completed peer review. Nor has one has been published in a journal to my knowledge, nor is the one paper I’ve been asked to comment on in press at JGR,(where I was told it was submitted) yet BEST is making a “pre-peer review” media blitz."

Simple, what proof do you have that he is serious about publishing his paper? Who has he submitted the "Draft" to in order to prepare it for publication? HINT: In most circles it is rare that a "DRAFT" be made public for various professional reasons. However, if the "DRAFT" was not intended for publication a paid writer might release a draft publicly and then distance himself from it in order to protect what little was left of his reputation.

The temperature record from stations across the U.S. has been systematically overinflated due to faulty data manipulation and “encroaching urbanity”-- locations near asphalt, air conditioning and airports -- according to a new study. And if correct, it calls into question just how hot our planet is getting. Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2012/07/30/wea...

Who's the decider for minutia, consequence, etc? LOL, NOT you. I wrote in the first two posts about what's going on. Go back and read them. Yeah, you got pinned down in your games. You are stuck with the Anthony-what's-his-name. Hey that's the reward for being a denier.
