As an atheist, I'm appalled that you deal in stereotypes and groupthink.

I don't care if a person is a christian, a jew, a wiccan, a satanist, or anything else as long as they don't push their faith on me. But many gays are religious, and many gays like myself are atheists. They aren't two distinct groups.

Those "well-known" factoids are meaningless; most people who donate to charity don't disclose their orientation or religious affiliation. How many neoconservatives give as much as bill gates? Many liberals create their own charities, like janis ian created the pearl foundation. They don't give as much to other groups because their efforts are focused on their causes. But for many people, it's easier to cut a check than to actually get involved with the charity itself. So you keep sending them you spare change and let the others do the heavy lifting.

Sorry, but studies show nothing of the sort. Certainly nothing by law enforcement shows that. In cases of molestation, the first suspect is the father/stepfather/mom's boyfriend, followed by male relatives and family friends. They don't look at orientation because that is a separate issue from pedophilia.

Of course there are gay people who are pedophiles, just like there are heteros who are pedophiles. The vast majority, in fact, are straight in their peer relationships.

She also seems to be unaware that pedophilia is not the same thing as child molestation. Many pedophiles control their urges and never touch a child. Molestation, on the other hand, is usually performed for the same reasons adult rape is; it has nothing to do with sexual attraction. Raping a child does not automatically make you a pedophile.
