If you don't like it, don't do it. But don't force your biased views on other people.

And speaking of anal cancer, be careful about pulling bogus statistics out of your nethers...

You have at least one legitimate, unbiased source for this information?

How does two same-sex people loving each other impact your life in any way? Please do tell how this could possibly have anything to do with you. Oh and remember, gays pay taxes just like you, presumably, do.

What a dispicable comparison. Murder destroys families, hurts people, causes irreparable damage. As does rape and adultery.

Two consenting adults loving each other in a committed relationship hurts no one. Not even on the same planet. Absolutely dispicable comparison. For shame.

Because the whole man/woman thing is working out so well.

Fine. Then take all the legal rights (well over 1000) away from marriage, and make it strictly a religious issue. Then create civil unions and assign the legal rights to those, and allow unions between gay couples as well as straight.*Then* you have equality. If it's all about "God", as you say, then get the government part out of it.

confused, you are confused

same-sex people who have made that commitment with each other have less rights when issues arise with death or hardship than "legal married" couples...it's not about marriage under God...it's about equal rights and having a sense of security with your loved one...

Not quite sure why homosexuals are fighting so hard to be able to legally wed.
Marriage is a religious ceremony in which two people join together with God's blessing. Marriage began with religion and that's the whole point of it.
Two people don't have to be legally married to dedicate their lives to each other. It's the idea of uniting under the Lord that defines Marriage, that's why the call it Holy Matrimony.
And it is very clear in the Bible that homosexuality is declared wrong and evil. So why do homosexual couples want to unite in a religious ceremony when religion is a big part of people's fight against them?
It's like wanting something just to have it and not knowing why you want it.
It makes no sense to me. I'm not homophobic, and have many homosexual friends that I'm very fond of. But it makes no sense why they're fighting to be a part of something that people use as a reason to ridicule them.
So no, I do not support it. Marriage is for heterosexuals uniting under God, and that's it. I'm not judging, but to oppose something in the Bible and choose that as a lifestyle is to not beleive in it, and why fight to be a part of something that you don't believe in?
Then why do county governments issue out little paper certificates that declare a couple legally wed?

Oh and fyi, marriage began as a business contract between a man and his father-in-law-to-be. It had nothing to do with love or with the woman at all. Read the Bible sometime before using it to justify you opinions.

By the way, why are certain issues referred to by the Christians "it's in the Bible so clearly it's wrong"...there's tons of other crap in that book, too, why don't you avoid "unclean" women on the rag then? i mean, the bible says SO, so it must be so! please, read the book and follow it word for word then. but, then, i follow something called a constitution...that's fact, not fiction.

I'm a bisexual male and I voted "None of the governments business." Legal marriage is government special rights for any couple, heterosexual or homosexual. They are given special marriage benefits. Why should couples who are in love get special privileges over single people, groups, and people living together who are just friends?

Get rid of government marriage altogether. Anyone should be able to have a private marriage performed by a church, business, organization, themselves, who ever they want, and anyone should be able to sign contracts between each other no matter what sex you are or how many people. You could sign contracts as to child custody, will, hospital visits, joint ownership of assets and how to divide it if you ever agree to terminate that joint ownership. As for government benefits for children of married couples this should be replaced with non-discriminatory benefits for any person or people taking care of children, married or not.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Sagittarius

After all the excitement of the past few days you're longing for the chance to put your feet up and take life easy for a while. Ideally, you should bury your nose in a good book and be left alone until you resurface for a food transfusion. But you'll also enjoy chatting to someone you know very well and for whom you don't have to make a big effort, such as a close relative.
