Judged: 2 2 2 >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>> Jehovah When the Masoretes added vowel pointings (niqqud) to the text of the Hebrew Bible around the 8th century CE, they gave the word YHVH vowels very similar to that of Adonai. Tradition claims this is to remind the reader to say Adonai instead. Later medieval Christian Biblical scholars took this vowel substitution for the actual spelling of YHVH and transliterated the name of God literally as Jehovah. Its use became widespread in Christendom. It was also eventually used in the name of a millenarian[10] restorationist[11][12] denomination[13] with nontrinitarian beliefs distinct from mainstream Christianity, Jehovah's Witnesses. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Names_of_God_in_... |

Judged: 2 2 2 Once started, there was no stopping the practise. And we are where we today because some ancient nonsensical humans had nothing better in their mental possessions than to bank on myths saving them ... for better or for worse in imaginary hereafters. What a shame! |

Judged: 2 2 2 actually june is quite correct. Jesus is one of many saviors. Just the one you happen to believe in. Sort of. Daystorm? Despite his rants of what a good christian he is he ignores most of what his savior had to say preferring instead to lean more on the Pharisees of Jesus' day. A more apt description of daystorm's religion would be archaic jew but whatever. Rather reminds me of the good Rev Fred Phelps. Another "good christian". God save me from your followers:-) |

Judged: 1 1 1 According to Jewish dogma, the Pharisees were not the traitors. It fits for my belief from what I have studied that the ex-Jew Catholics were the traitors. DayStorm's beliefs are the closest to the beliefs of the first Christians who were Catholic. They were not nice people ... or kind people. They were brutal, cruel beasts ... worse in their behaviors than the animals of the forest, and the Jesus-dogma was their successful lie! >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> Jewish Virtual Library Pharisees, Sadducees, and Essenes By Mitchell G. Judged: 2 1 1 Thank you. If the history of the many savior-gods is incorrect, then the history of Jesus being the one and only savior-god is also fair game for scrutiny as being incorrect. I believe religion was all based on imagination, and the dogmas of one group are no more secured to fact than the dogmas of another group. The mental games people play with religious imagery no doubt brings vast amounts of self-hypnotic type of pleasure to those who entertain the thoughts. But thoughts are still ONLY thoughts, and from my perspective, those in religion have by far exceeded to commit more harm, than ever they bestowed kindness on others when opinions conflicted with their own opinions. All too often, their minds were completely closed to new ideas. |

Judged: 3 2 2 ALWAYS. Observe the sickinging Fred Phelps, who perceives himself as a wonder to a god while he promotes the idea that "God HATES fags!" Jerry Falwell was not one bit different, except he used more slime in his sermons. The pope, with his blather about gays being intrinsically evil when they have sexual relationships, is enough to gag anyone who knows the history of the pope. Despicable creatures hiding in the pages of an old mouldy book that is claimed to radiate holiness at the very study of its words. My guess is, there is no god to help anyone. It's up to us to create a better world. |

Judged: 2 2 2 The god of Abrum was Enlil(thats who told him of the "new nation"). The god of Adamu and Noah was Enki. Enlil being the "hateful"(El) and Enki being the "kind"(Jah/Yah). They take turns interfering in the affairs of the "Nation of Abrum". |

Judged: 2 2 2 It's all "Greek" to me. :) If human words had never been invented ... there would be no so-called holy books filled with blathering nonsense. People would still kill each other, but they would have no NEED to attach such ridiculous stories to WHY they feel a need to kill each other. Century after century humans used gods as scapegoats to try to hide human nature in something holy ... or to the other extreme ... evil. Well, human nature simply is what it is. There are times when humans can be kind ... but survival surrounded by physical and emotional comforts, all too often, takes precedence over kindness. And that is my concept of truth. |

Judged: 3 2 2 Human nature and telepathy would be quite a mixture. "SO!!!... You want to kill me ... HUH???" "OH OH! I shouldn't have allowed THAT thought to enter my mind. Now she knows the truth! This mind-reading isn't all it's cracked up to be." :) |
