Full story: www.queerty.com

Terri-Ann Simonelli and Brittney Leon checked into Spring Valley Hospital because of complications with Leon’s pregnancy. But when Simonelli began inquiring about her domestic partner’s status, they were informed by the admissions officer that same-sex couples needed power-of-attorney to consult on medical issues.

Time for a big effing lawsuit against the morons who ran the place. Probably not even homophoibc so much as incompetent idiots.

I hope it costs some hospital admin his or her job and costs the hospital and its insurer lots of dough.

Neighbor of Peaches? I didn't realize they had Wifi in mud huts out in the toxic waste dump swamp lands.

So, Nevada which allows PROSTITUTION is not cool with a committed lesbian couple, huh, beyond hypocrites.

PROSTITUTION is wrong and unacceptable but the gay lifestyle is a deplorable sin and must never be acceptable.

No harm must come to them/you but you should not be rewarded for it either.

First of all, she is not a lesbian. Which means she is a bisexual and they are even more messed up than a homosexual. Trust me. There is one around here that has married in her life 4 men now and 1 woman. 2 of her hubbies died in their 50's.

But France (called by Nancy Mitford "The only civilized country in the world" wouldnt be a bad place to live in at all..Horribly expensive though, as all excellent things.. Unfortunately, and as things stand now, the USA, that once "beacon of freedom", has turned into a flashlight..

No. EQUAL RIGHTS, and we do not "already have them", so don't even go down that tired old road.

You had equal rights and now you have special rights. Think about it, two men can't give birth to a child but big brother and the perverts think otherwise. Any person that believes a child doesn't need a female mother for companionship and bonding shouldn't be allowed to parent in the first place.
Two people of the same sex cannot physically have a child but somehow qualify to be parents in the eyes of big govt. At the very least this is intellectual pedophilia and will alter any childs brain in favor of one sex but not the other more so than in a normal parental environment.
It is inconceivable to place any child in a home without the companionship and bonding of a female mother and if big govt had any common sense and did the right thing by doing what I just said that would blow the homosexuals argument for anything right out of the water. It's all about money and votes.
These people are insane.

It seems the only thing govt is good for is taxes and destroying other countries.

All antigay comments above concerning "special rights" are mendacious -- knowingly so; the antigay know by 2012 that they're lying about this -- and deliberately designed to sow discord, enmity, hatred and division.(As such, for the "religious" among them, the antigay should check out the book of Proverbs in the bible, which expressly forbids such behavior and pronounces anyone who engages in it -- i.e., the antigay -- an abomination before god.)

The antigay continue to insist that if sixteen children are at a birthday party and two of them receive no cake while the other fourteen do, all sixteen have been treated "equally." The antigay continue to insist that if all sixteen children received one piece of cake each, then two of those children received "special treatment" and must be denied cake in order to be treated "equally."

I continue to be shocked for *years now* that the pro-gay have not played upon these shockingly blatant, laughably nonsensical lies much, much further, setting up situations were people were deliberately denied things and then publicizing those situations in order to explain that everyone was treated "equally," as per the logic of the antigay.

As a gay Texan I have no concerns about my partner having rights to see me in the hospital or make medical decisions on my behalf. Simply have your partner sign a medical power of attorney. Done.

Yeah? Well, in Nevada it is legal, so go yell at THEM, not me.

I just find it strange they allow a woman to DO several strange men a day, but balk at a loving committed gay couple who moved heaven and earth to STAY together.

Daily Horoscope for May 24

Aquarius

In complete contrast to yesterday, you have your head screwed on firmly today. Yet you won't be boringly sensible or drearily practical, so there's no danger of you having turned into a dry old stick overnight. It's a good day for keeping track of important details and processes, such as confirming a forthcoming appointment or filling in a form and then making a copy of it before sending it off.
