I don't like what they did but they used legal tactics, much like Obama did on ObamaCare.

I would advocate limiting the power of gov't.

You won't EVER see that from Democrats.

That was not your smartest post. Too emotional- snark does not replace facts.
It is simply a fact that sexual preference is not a guaranteed civil right. That is why all the conflict. Why not have your representatives take care of that instead of all the misplaced blame?
If your own politicians are using you then it is silly to lash out at the ones that openly won't help you.
Seems your anger is misdirected.
I support gay marriage- always have.
But you have to exact change intelligently.
Was not snark, if you are asserting that being gay is only about sex, then you cannot assert that being straight is about nothing but sex either. It's simple, if relationships are about sex then so be it, but if straight relationships are about love, then so are gay relationships.

I fail to see what this has to do with much. The general polls showed that it was widely supported,.
yet its been voted down every time its come to a vote...
how do you explain that?

In NC specifically the polls were a close race and the vote was overwhelmingly against..
how do you explain that.

I have, loaded questions just like all the other polls...

I would ignore the trolls on both sides.

Anyway, in the eyes of the LAW this IS all about sex and gender and sexual preference.

The law is what gays need to use, not just emotion. That is what I am saying.

Pragmatism over ideology.

Isn't that what anti-religious people say should be happening here?

What 180, the liberals are not trying to make your marriage illegal or prevent any other group from marrying who they love, so where's the 180?
No, because mine is between one man and one women. We are not preventing them from hooking up, they just can't call it marriage. Why didn't Obama address this when he had the presidency and both houses for two years..........oh that's right, this way he can make a speech and get 21 million in gay contributions. With Obama, it's always follow the money.

Every time, so then they just lying about it being legal in several states? That would be a pretty big conspiracy.

I agree with Bishop Romney that unmarried gay people should be able to adopt, but they should not be able to marry each other. That's just WRONG. Try reading the Book of Mormon, you might learn something and maybe even get a job in the Bishop Romney administration! Embrace CHANGE, RESTORE AMERICA. Our nation was founded on Mormon theocratic principles. We are a REPUBLIC, not a democracy! Bishop Romney is the CHOSEN one, our sacred leader.

At this rate, it may not go to a vote until your children are voting, and they will pass it.

<quoted text>
When running in "08" during a televised "debate" type discussion Obama stated he was "as a Christian against civil unions" after he right out stated that "marriage SHOULD be between one man and one woman".
So how is it that Obama didn't "flip flop" on the issue? Must have been his famous word "evolved" that threw you off. He can call it anything he wants but it still means flip flop.
And let's not forget what Obama did for gay marriage when he had a democratic controlled house & senate for his first two years in office....NOTHING!!!
Politicians change their mind about issues all the time, that's not the issue. The issue is WHY did they change. With Obama we all knew he supported equal rights for gays & lesbians but was concerned it would hurt him politically to say so. Now he has come out IN SPITE of the fact it may hurt him politically.

Romney on the other hand changed positions every time he thought his new position would give HELP him politically.

That's the difference.

You anti-gays STILL haven't come up with the 120,577 signatures needed to get marriage equality on the ballot.

Obviously most people in Washington state really don't care if gays can marry or not.

(Reuters)- A same-sex civil unions bill was defeated in a Colorado legislative committee on Monday, marking the second time in a week that Republican lawmakers blocked an up-or-down vote on the issue by the state's full House of Representatives.
So how many states does this make now?????
Yes, the GOP refused to all a vote on the House floor because they knew the Dems had the votes to pass it.

So much for it only being about "protecting marriage".

GOP = coward & hypocrite.

I know many people who were raised by bigots such as yourself, but now that they are adults and can make up their own minds, they reject the discrimination & bigotry they were taught as children. Of sure, some of them still tell their parents they voted against gays marrying or voted for segregation etc, but that's just to avoid a big fight at the Thanksgiving table.
