Social issues part of state's governor's race debate

I certainly hope that the people of Washington get to vote on whether Catholics have thr ight to marry whom they choose. I'm a devout church-going Protestant, and I would CERTAINLY vote NO on that proposal !

While you're right, I would give 'em a chance. Let them marry. Then, if there isn't a future bigot crapping it's nappies in the crib - or at least one warming in the oven, then ANNULMENT after a year and a day (a pagan measurement of a term of marriage - very apropos). If they're all good on that front, then after, say, 3-4 kids, ANNULMENT with a special dispensation from their head cheese in the nightie so the kids aren't considered bastards (at least in the eyes of their church).
