EVERYBODY is in favor of a traditional family! I don't know a single LGBT person who would say it's a bad idea for a family to have a father, mother, raising their biological children.

-- THAT'S NOT THE POINT!

The point is: Do you OPPOSE the thought of a single gay parent raising his/her own biological children?(There are thousands of them in this country!) Are they entitled to the same protections of the law? Are they entitled to enlist the help of a stepparent the same as everybody else? Or should the law, in your opinion, force a single gay parent to marry a heterosexual partner before they can be legally recognized as a family?

It just kills me how the real questions are always sidestepped by references to 'traditional families,' as though there are no children with gay parents in this country! And how come the law already recognizes millions of non-'traditional' families, i.e. with stepparents or single parents, but LGBT people have be excluded at all costs from those ranks!

It's not that you're in favor of traditional families -- we ALL are -- but that you hate the thought of recognizing gay people in ANY way! That's nothing but christian BIGOTRY, plain and simple.

While I agree with most of your post, I am one LGBT person who is NOT in favor of the "traditional" family. The "man's" job is to provide his 23 chromosomes, and that's where it ends. I fervently wished that my "father" disappeared (whether quietly into the night or losing an argument with a speeding freight train) when his job was done. If the man and woman want to live together in the "traditional" sense, then they should have that right, but it is not the "best" solution. Whatever folks decide what their "best" situation is (M/F, M/M, F/F, or an extended family structure) should be their right. And keep that freakin' christian bible out of it - it has done nothing but f*ked everything up.

I like your post as well.......I totally agree that a mother and father are not always the best environment to raise a child in......but I do believe that if at all possible, a 2 parent household is somewhat better than one parent......but that doesn't mean that 1 parent can't do the job, seeing as I was a single parent, but I really wished at times I had help.

Just like with The Boy Scouts, the homosexuals are attempting to bully Chick Fil-A in to degrading it's values.

The homosexuals tried this with The Boy Scouts and lost, they also tried it with The Salvation Army and lost.

14-year-old home schooled girl receives death threats for defending marriage

.

ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND, February 22, 2012, A 14-year-old home schooler who testified before the Maryland state senate against a bill redefining marriage has been the subject of cyberbullying, vicious name-calling, and death threats.

Maryland State Senate

Sarah Crank, 14, told the Maryland Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee last month she believes children need a mother and a father.“ I really feel bad for the kids who have two parents of the same gender,” she told the senators.“Even though some kids think it’s fine, they have no idea what kind of wonderful experiences they miss out on.”

She continued,“People say that they were born that way, but I’ve met really nice adults who did change.”

“Today’s my 14th birthday, and it would be the best birthday present ever if you would vote ‘no’ on gay marriage,” she said.

After audio of her uncharacteristically mature testimony was posted on YouTube, the story went viral on homosexual activist websites—and death threats quickly followed.

TFP Student Action, a Roman Catholic organization dedicated to traditional morality, recorded several of the most offensive threats in a press release. A commenter on the YouTube video wrote,“If I ever see this girl, I will kill her. That’s a promise.”

Other YouTube comments ranged from,“Her parents should be exterminated,” to,“Kill this child and his [sic] parent, for my 11 birthday would be a wonderful gift, thanks.”

A comment posted on LGBTNation.com said,““And now everyone knows her name, so hopefully she will feel what its like to be harassed and bullied…”

Since TFP issued its press release, the comments have not moderated. Supporters of same-sex “marriage” continue to wish violence, sexual assault, or censorship upon the girl.(Warning, profanity):
•I hope you get raped by your married parents.—madisonen;
•Stupid bi**h - I hope you die on your Bday!!!!!—geminiboi007;
•A dumb way for a dumb bi**h to do dumb things. Stop talking nonsense that your Christian, Anti-Gay parents are force-feeding you through a thin straw, and learn to accept other people. Now shut up bi**h, before I smack you.—123adbnvcs;

According to its website, TFP Student Action “networks with college students on more than 719 campuses,” promoting chivalry and a Christian ethical conduct.

“The homosexual movement only talks about ‘tolerance,’ but never really practices any,”

Ritchie had a different message for the Crank family.“I’m praying for you and your family, Sarah,” he said.“Stand strong. God will win. And Saint Michael will help you and help America.”

The full text of Sarah’s testimony follows:

Hi, I’m Sarah Crank. Today’s my 14th birthday, and it would be the best birthday present ever if you would vote “no” on gay marriage. I really feel bad for the kids who have two parents of the same gender. Even though some kids think it’s fine, they have no idea what kind of wonderful experiences they miss out on. I don’t want more kids to get confused about what’s right and okay. I really don’t want to grow up in a world where marriage isn’t such a special thing anymore.

It’s rather scary to think that when I grow up the legislature or the court can change the definition of any word they want. If they could change the definition of marriage then they could change the definition of any word. People have the choice to be gay, but I don’t want to be affected by their choice. People say that they were born that way, but I’ve met really nice adults who did change. So please vote “no” on gay marriage. Thank you.

Oh, there are Christians and there are christians. Christians look to Jesus Christ as a role model and try to live by the way he lived and spoke. Then there are the christians, Christan wannabes who use the Bible as a source for bigotry and judgement, cherry picking parts which seem to reinforce their views and ignoring others which don't. Guess which classification a certain chicken restaurant owner falls into.

"Bully" Luke? Your side has gotten pretty good at playing the victim. This is a great example - CFA's owner says he doesn't support SSM, so those of us who do support it state that we're not going to support him... so now we're the bullies?!?

You then turn around and cite a small hand full of posters who made inappropriate comments to a 14 year old who opposed SSM... how about you take a little look at the comments made to those who support SSM?

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Libra

You have a tremendous amount of nervous energy today and you need to find positive ways of expressing it, otherwise it could make you rather irritable and restless. Ideally, you should do something physical, such as going for a brisk walk, cleaning the house while working up a sweat or getting your money's worth out of the gym. Don't take out your frustrations on people who don't deserve them.
