I've already answered you...so do you support 'any' laws??? If so...you are against liberty...
Incorrect, I support rights being applied equally, however I also support personal liberties, which is a right for the individual to choose their lives so long as they do not effect another person's life. The only laws that should exist are those which prevent each person from harming another person, all other laws are anti-liberty. You are anti-liberty, and therefore, you are a liberal. I think they have teeshirts or some other memorabilia for becoming a liberal, it seems to be common for them.

The right to free speech is an allowance of speech.
You need some serious help...

Some universally recognized rights as fundamental, i.e., contained in the U.N. Covenant on Civil and Political Rights or the U.N. Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, are as follows:[citation needed]

Right to equal protection under the law [1][2]
Right to freedom of thought[3]
Right to freedom of speech and press (cf. freedom of expression)
Right to freedom of association[4]
Right to freedom of movement within the country[5]
Right to vote in general election
Right to direct a child's upbringing [6]
Right to privacy[7]
Right to marry[8]
Right to property
Right to Bear Arms[citation needed]

"Allowances" under the U.S. Constitution.....

.....any questions???????

A "right" offered by the government is technically an allowance, it is allowing you to do something. Therefore, a right is an allowance.
Technically???? Technically????? Where are you getting that from???? A right is 'technically' a right, not an allowance....

A right does not 'allow' you to do anything, it is your 'entitlement' to do it...you are 'entititled' to it, not 'allowed' to it. No one can take that from you...

Allowed means somebody can stop you...you aren't 'allowed' to speak freely, you have a 'right' to speak freely....

You need to go back to school, because that was just too stupid...

Definition of RIGHT
1
: qualities (as adherence to duty or obedience to lawful authority) that together constitute the ideal of moral propriety or merit moral approval

Definition of ALLOW
5
a : permit <doesn't allow people to smoke in his home> b : to forbear or neglect to restrain or prevent <allow the dog to roam>

A right is also something that is allowed by the governing body therefore, it is an allowance. Learn some English, this is basic stuff.

So then no one is allowed to marry who they love.

I copied the wrong definition for rights:
3
: something that one may properly claim as due <knowing the truth is her right>

It depends what your definition of is,is.
Thats the basis of their entire argument.
Pretty flimsy when your core defense stems from dazzling them with bullshite and double talk.

No, it was a side argument I made that had no weight on the issue, really.

You are too pitiful for words...the definition you just gave for 'right' is not the 'right' as in 'rights' of the constitution..it is right like 'on the side of right'...the 'right' thing to do..'right' from wrong...not the 'right' to free speech...

Not to mention, those two definitions mean two completely different things...

Please stop....it's for your own good I'm telling you to please stop pressing this 'allowance' issue like there is an issue...there isn't an issue over 'allowances' here....

Try this one....

a just claim or title, whether legal, prescriptive, or moral: You have a right to say what you please.

A 'just claim or title' has nothing to do with an allowance....

The catch phrase "equal rights" is really a truncated phrase, the whole idea is "equally applied rights." So yes, we do want equal rights for all people.

Isn't that what you all do when you flat out deny procreation has nothing to do with marriage???? That sounds like bs and double talk to me....

Then explain why:

1. Some states allow 17 year old people to vote, while other states do not.

2. Some states allow convicted felons to vote, while other states do not.

3. Why are 16 year olds allowed to marry, yet not allowed to join the military while 17 year olds allowed to join the military, yet not allowed to vote, while 18 year olds are allowed to vote, but not allowed to purchase alcohol ?

Anyone who says that they believe in "equal rights" (whatever that means) for all people is obviously lying.

I've watched this thread, and your comments, long enough to know that all your arguments derive from semantics, biased opinion and word play.

No, because people resist equal rights we can only focus on one at a time, those are less important right now, if people would stop resisting progress, we'd address such things sooner.

The catch phrase "equal rights" is more of a much abused gay slogan.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Aquarius

There simply aren't enough hours in the day today for you to do everything that's on your list, so concentrate on the priorities. Don't feel guilty about what's been left out and start to worry about it. This isn't an easy day because you're feeling pressured and anxious, so don't expect too much from yourself. There's less energy than usual, which doesn't help.
