Actually, I think the act is a timid, cowardly one. It says that the administration of the university is afraid that their students and their views cannot stand up to debate. I am not surprised at Liberty’s actions though. Their fear for their students is justified. Young people, with their openness, confidence, and curiosity are naturally drawn to liberal positions. Rather than fearing or hating a Muslim, a homosexual, or an immigrant they are more likely to engage with them, and may change from the experience. I understand why the university did what they did and liberal universities don’t need to.
