No. Sorry, Lacon-Manito. Your assertions ARE misguided and out of line with scripture. Specifically, they are out of line with the Teachings of Christ Jesus. You cannot produce one single quote of Christ Jesus in judgment or condemnation of homosexual or same-sex relationship. There are none. Not one. But, you would try to cause others to join yourself in judging and condemning on the basis of the 'Priest's Manual' otherwise known as Leviticus. However, apparently you don't want to apply ALL of Leviticus. You only want to apply the part that agrees with your own views. So, you are a bigot and a hypocrite. Are you masquerading as a Christian, too? Jesus taught against hypocrisy and wrongful judgment and was crucified for bringing people face to face with their bigotry and hypocrisy. Better take a hard second look at your own views. They are not in line with the Teachings of Christ Jesus. Plenty of time left for you to see properly and to make the necessary admissions and adjustments. But, then, one never knows what may be his or her last hour, either. You are right in saying that Christians do not disregard ANY portion of the Bible and consider it all to be inspired... But as to holding that every word of the bible is undisputable fact and truth ....?... Well, let's just say that such fundamentalist/literalist views of scripture are not the general view of Christians that identify as Episcopalians. No. You must produce a quote from Jesus that judges and condemns the same-sex relationship. If you can't, no matter how hard you try and no matter how many times you repeat your assertions and how many different names you assign to your misguided message, your assertions will remain groundless and hollow. Without credibility. Without substance. There was a time when your views were accetable as the traditional view. But, that time has passed and is now realized to have been very wrong. Time for you to Man-up in Christ, Manito man. Rev. Ken

Ken You've seen Bible passages proving you wrong and prohibiting all homosexual behavior. You don't seem to have an understanding of even the very basics of Christianity. There is no real pecking order of sources, except perhaps between the Old and New Testaments. The Epistles of Paul constitution a majority of the New Testament, were chronologically written closest to Jesus, and are totally authoritative among Christians. As a non-Christian, you don't seem to be able to fathom this. You also don't seem to have a basic understanding of the English Language or of the original tongues from which the Scriptures were translated into English. A eunuch is NOT a homosexual. Perhaps Webster can help cure a least a little of your malicious ignorance: EUNUCH 1 : a castrated man placed in charge of a harem or employed as a chamberlain in a palace 2 : a man or boy deprived of the testes or external genitals 3 : one that lacks virility or power <political eunuchs>

Well,... I see you have actually decided to respond. That is a very good first step. I'll not expect too much of you. You make the decisions whether or not to comprehend and acknowledge. Nothing is forced here. You have the right and option to question anything - any point or any piece of information - your choice. You may return to your pat answers and assertions whenever and however you like. I only ask that you question me in a reasonably civil manner. If I choose to not answer or refuse to take a question, that is my prerogative just as you have your prerogatives. If the conversation descends into insults, that's OK, too. We'll just be at the same point as before, only with a little more experience and a little less time with which to reflect upon the exchange. You write: "There is no real pecking order of sources, except perhaps between the Old and New Testaments." I certainly agree that there is a pecking order between the Old and New Testaments. Jesus said, "I bring you a New Covenant..." and so He did. Everything changed. As Paul said, "Jesus came to fulfill the Law." If we take this observation of Paul at face value, then we begin to acknowledge that the Old Covenant and the Law of Moses was understood to have been appropriate for a time and a season. It had purpose. It had authority. So it was with the "Priest's Manual" that we now call the Book of Leviticus. Rev. Ken

Your view of Leviticus certainly doesn't square with Christianity. The book is part of the Bible cannon. Perhaps you should Google those terms to learn their meaning. Any way you cut it, you're left with the reality that homosexual behavior is repeatedly condemned and prohibited in both the Old and New Testaments. Since you favor the New, it is relevant that the condemnations are most numerous and explicit in the New Testament. There is no logical case against these facts within Christianity.

If you are referring to the oft quoted six verses very explicitly and decisively condemning all homosexual acts, your post couldn't be further from the truth. These verses are very much in harmony with many others prohibiting all sex except between man and wife. They are also supported by EVERY Bible translation, ancient Bible text, and centuries of both Christian and Jewish tradition, practice, and scholarship.

As regards no 10, I must admit that I thoroughly enjoyed that one, particularly because the husband was an abuser and a real sh!t. I felt rocks for him and I know I was good for his wife. As regards no 18, various partners over the years have felt that that was a very needy time for them and I was always happy to oblige. I doubt that you are aware of the fact that an orgasm at that time often eases a woman's cramps and I suspect that Christians prefer to subscribe to the view of Martin Luther who decreed: "If a woman grows weary and at last dies from childbearing, it matters not. Let her die from bearing, she is there to do it."

Rest assured that the Bible insists that everyone is saved, not just those who believe, but especially those who believe: 1 TIM. 4:10 ("...we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe") Of course those who want to kill gays believing God has instructed them to do so hate this verse and never admit to it being part of the Bible. This is why Christianity can not be trusted; it is an abomination, a crime against humanity.
